DRUG and Alcohol -FREE POLICY <br />Our policy is to maintain a drug -free workplace and training facility. <br />Faculty and students are expected and required to report to work or class on time and in appropriate <br />mental and physical condition for work or class. It is our intent to provide a drug -free, healthful and <br />safe work/class environment. <br />The unlawful manufacture distribution, possession or use of a controlled substance on the Academy's <br />premises or while conducting the Academy's business off its premises is absolutely prohibited, <br />Violations of this policy will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination/expulsion, <br />and may have legal consequences. <br />Faculty and students must report any and all conviction under a criminal drug statute for violations <br />occurring on or off the Academy's premises while conducting training exercises or while attending <br />classroom instruction. A report of a conviction must be made within seven (7) days after the <br />conviction. <br />The Academy recognizes drug dependency as an illness and a major health problem. The Academy <br />also recognizes drug abuse as a potential health, safety and security problem. Faculty and students <br />needing help in dealing with such problems are encouraged to use our employee assistance program <br />and health insurance programs. (Further information about these programs is available from <br />Academy Director.)
