What barriers to care have you experienced/are you experiencing? <br />Successes (Question 4): <br />• Participants reported that Alianza Translatinx uses <br />both theory and practice in the work that they do in <br />the community, while many other organizations <br />only have theory and do not work (or do not know <br />how to work) directly with the community. <br />Areas of Growth/ Opportunities (Question 4) <br />Some participants reported: <br />• a lack of services in Santa Ana. <br />"I wentto Google and <br />put'transgender <br />services, 'nothing' <br />nothing came of it. I put <br />services for hormones,' <br />and I found in Santa <br />Ana. And when you go, <br />they say, what are you <br />coming for?"' <br />being provided an insufficient number of safe -sex supplies (for example, <br />condoms, lubricant). <br />• a need for resources for personal and professional development to access higher <br />education and grants or scholarships for the trans community to enter the <br />healthcare field. <br />20 <br />
