What additional services and resources would make you feel supported in getting the care <br />you need? <br />Areas of Growth/ Opportunities (Question 5): <br />Some participants reported: <br />• a need for resources that support their mental and <br />emotional health. <br />• a need for resources for personal and professional <br />development, such as English language and <br />technology classes. <br />• a need for workshops led by people from the trans <br />community and more focus groups to get feedback <br />directly from the community. <br />"You cannot focus on <br />HIV needs without <br />addressing the needs of <br />the whole person. You <br />need financial stability, <br />accommodation, etc.... <br />You need mental health <br />assistance, even if it is in <br />a group, it is a good <br />start." <br />• a need for housing, specifically housing for trans women, and legal support for the <br />community. <br />• being offered resources, however, when they contacted the resource, they were <br />made to feel they had tojump through hoops to access the help. <br />• a need for comprehensive healthcare services, notjust HIV services. <br />• a need for medical providers to provide hormone therapy.
