<br />Underground District No.65 Reliability Improvement,
<br />Phase 2 — Santa Ana Canyon Road — Lakeview to
<br />Imperial. Over approximately 11 months, project activities
<br />included undergrounding 12kV distribution systems,
<br />streetlight installation, service conversions, and removal of
<br />overhead facilities.
<br />Underground District No. 68 Reliability Improvement —
<br />Eucalyptus Drive from Santa Ana Canyon Road to
<br />2,000' South Project. Over approximately eight months,
<br />project activities included undergrounding of 12kV and
<br />6.9kV distribution systems, direct buried cable replacement,
<br />streetlight installation, service conversions, and removal of
<br />overhead facilities.
<br />Olive Street 16-inch Water Main Replacement and Roadway
<br />Restoration Project. Contract administrator/construction
<br />manager forthe improvement of water system reliability by
<br />replacing old 10- and 6-inch cast iron pipe with new 16-inch
<br />ductile iron pipe. The project also included the replacement of fire
<br />hydrants, valves, water services, and appurtenant structures.
<br />Rehabilitation of Pressure Regulating Stations (PRS) 30
<br />and 31 and Relocation of PRS-32 and -43 and Construction
<br />of New PRS-73. Contract administrator/construction managerfor
<br />contract administration and construction management services
<br />for completion of various on -call water utilities projects for the
<br />Water Utilities Engineering group. The work consists of contract
<br />administration and construction management services for the
<br />Pressure Regulating Stations 30, 31, 32, 43, and 73 project, and
<br />construction management services overseeing the closeout of the
<br />PR-58, M-2 and M-8 projects.
<br />Atlantic Avenue Water Main Replacement Project (Liberty
<br />Court Phase 2), Long Beach Water, Long Beach, CA. Assistant
<br />construction manager and documents control specialist for a $1-million
<br />project to install a 1,200-foot long water main under a busy arterial,
<br />Atlantic Avenue, and connect it to private service lines and other
<br />water mains. Duties included monitoring work progress, updating the
<br />schedule, filing daily reports and ensuring compliance with plans and
<br />specifications. The project was in the Liberty Court area of Long Beach.
<br />13th Street Sewer Rehabilitation, City of Manhattan Beach,
<br />CA. Inspectorfora $250,000 project initiated as a follow-up to a major
<br />sewer rehabilitation. Inspections addressed installation of a sewer
<br />main, house laterals and manholes. Inspected concrete work, including
<br />construction of two ADA-compliant ramps.
<br />Rainbow Harbor Commercial Sewage EVAC System
<br />Replacement, City of Long Beach, CA. Construction manager for
<br />this $700,000 project to replace a 20-year-old sewage EVAC pump -out
<br />used by Rainbow Harbor boat operators. Oversaw work to abandon the
<br />old pumping system, valve installation and hose replacement.
<br />Beach Maintenance Clarifier Project, City of Long Beach,
<br />CA. Project manager/construction manager for the installation of
<br />$250,000 clarifier system in the City's beach maintenance yard. The
<br />system will treat wastewaterfor reuse in cleaning beach maintenance
<br />equipment. Responsibilities included assisting with design
<br />coordination, Coastal Development Permit processing, bidding, public
<br />relations, inter -departmental coordination, and onsite fast track design.
<br />APWA Awarding Winning - Firestone Boulevard Regional
<br />Corridor Capacity Enhancements, Project No.476-TRF, City of
<br />South Gate, CA. Assistant construction manager/lead inspector for a
<br />$20-million project to improve three segments of Firestone Boulevard.
<br />The improvements will both increase traffic capacity and improve the
<br />road's appearance. Construction also included the installation of an
<br />8-inch DIP, Class 52 water main along with hot taps for service laterals,
<br />including but not limited to excavation, fittings, restraints, backfill,
<br />compaction testing, pipe identification, caps, and other appurtenances
<br />to complete works. Ensures project compliance with plans and specs.
<br />Provides fast track design efforts for newly proposed bus pullouts,
<br />median construction, and drainage facilities. Observes utility potholing,
<br />traffic control and stormwater practices. Maintains personnel and
<br />equipment logs. Negotiated and reviewed potential change orders,
<br />orchestrated utility coordination and collaborated with City staff.
<br />Provided public relations and progress reports. Participated and led
<br />progress meetings. Preconstruction duties included documenting
<br />existing conditions, such as tree wells to be removed.
<br />Termino Avenue Drain Project, LACDPW, Long Beach, CA.*
<br />Inspector for the federally funded $22-million construction of storm
<br />drain system and water main to improve drainage in several Long
<br />Beach neighborhoods. Inspected excavation, shoring and trenching,
<br />installation of reinforced -concrete drainage pipes and boxes, utility
<br />relocations, backfilling, compacting and asphalt -concrete paving.
