<br />Introduction
<br />Dr. Wu has 22 year's experience as a structural engineer, with six years focused on
<br />the public works projects. He works on the design and rehabilitation of utility infra-
<br />structure, including seismic evaluation, analysis, and retrofit design of buildings and
<br />facilities. Harry also provides structural inspection, bid, and construction support.
<br />He works on projects throughout the state and applied his expertise in earthquake
<br />resistant design of structure systems (reinforced concrete, masonry, fiberglass,
<br />steel, and wood), tilt -up structural design, seismic retrofit design of structures,
<br />structural analysis, and finite element analysis.
<br />Dr. Wu is well versed in all of the latest software and programs used in structural
<br />engineering and familiar with building code requirements for Steel AISC 360-16,
<br />ASD, LRFD Manual; reinforced concrete: ACI 318-14„ and IBC-2015, CBC-2016, ASCE
<br />7-16. He has also performed large scale seismic testing of structural components
<br />and assemblies in fiberglass, steel, reinforced concrete. Harry's work has been pub-
<br />lished in numerous journals on topics including, seismic retrofit, FRP composites,
<br />and earthquake structural engineering.
<br />Experience
<br />On -Call Structural Assessment Services for City Owned Potable Reservoirs, City of
<br />Santa Ana, CA. Crooke Reservoir. Structural engineer for a condition assessment the
<br />reservoir. Harry contributed his findings and recommendations in the assessment
<br />report. The next step was the retrofit scheme, including calculations, drawings, and
<br />specifications. For the Crooke reservoir. Special attention was paid to the reservoir
<br />circulation (inlet piping) to eliminate dead spots. John Garthe Reservoir(s). Structural
<br />engineer for security assessments for the reservoirs and grounds. Harry assisted with
<br />plans to mount the intrusion alarms on the roof of the reservoirs.
<br />Greg Avenue Pump Station Control Building, Metropolitan Water District of Southern
<br />California, Los Angeles, CA. Structural engineer providing services for a new pump
<br />station control building including disabled access ramp, handrails and guardrails.
<br />Anaheim Lake Valve Vault, Orange County Water District, Anaheim, CA. Structural
<br />engineer providing design services for a valve vault that will enable District staff to
<br />gain access to several pipeline connections should emergency repairs be necessary.
<br />The project replaced two valves and included the construction of a vault that will
<br />house a total of five valves. The five valves include two 48-inch butterfly valves
<br />requiring replacement from the Warner Pipeline to the Anaheim Pipeline, two ad -
