• Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) Roadways, Utilities, and Enabling (RUE) Projects, Design -Build Program — <br />Recycled Water Extension Project, Los Angeles, CA: Lead Mechanical Engineer for a recycled water extension <br />project. Scope of work includes furnishing, installing, testing and joint commissioning of Recycled Water Piping <br />for a complete and operable system which is fully integrated with the future Hyperion Plan Recycled Water <br />Supply. <br />• City of Long Beach Gas & Oil Department Maintenance and Operations Building Renovations, Long Beach, CA: <br />Lead Mechanical Engineer working with the in-house architectural and engineering team to renovate the city's <br />gas meter testing facility built in the 1970s. The mechanical scope included demolition of the antiquated <br />hydronic heating/cooling system and related ventilation equipment. The HVAC design provides 13 new rooftop <br />packaged gas/electric AC units with gas heating for a total capacity of 45 tons. The system includes roof exhaust <br />fans interlocked with 100% OSA packaged makeup units, gas heating, and electric cooling; Design ventilation <br />system for the meter shop area includes exhaust fans interlocked with the supply make-up air fan. A new title <br />compliant HVAC control system was installed. Continual internal coordination with the IDS structural group <br />ensured that roof -top units (RTU) were properly placed. Plumbing scope included new hot water heater, <br />domestic water and sewer for remodeled restrooms and showers. <br />• Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, La Verne Water Quality Lab and Field Engineering Building <br />Improvements, La Verne, CA: Lead Mechanical Engineer working with the in-house architectural and <br />engineering team for the seismic upgrade of three buildings (Bldg. 30, Bldg. 40 and the Water Quality <br />Laboratory). These buildings include the Water Quality Laboratory Building, the Central Stores Warehouse, and <br />the Engineering Building. In preparation for administering each building's assessment and implementation of <br />repairs, a preliminary phasing plan was presented to minimize operational disruption during the construction <br />work. Existing building analysis, phasing plan, and improvement cost evaluation was provided to assist in future <br />tenant management efforts during construction. <br />Orange Education Center Site Remediation MEP Peer Review, Rancho Santiago Community College District, <br />Orange, CA: Lead Mechanical Engineer for the peer review of the 50% CD and 100% CD MEP scope of the <br />treatment plant.
