E
ANDERS EGENSE I ARDURRA I Page 2
Preliminary Design for Bypass Tank —Preliminary design for 2.5 MG
prestressed concrete tank and 1,000 feet of 36" bypass line with
valve vaults, site improvements, drainage facilities.
Final Design for Temporary Bypass System —Technical memorandum
to develop temporary bypass system comprised of permanent bypass
pipeline (1,140 feet of 36"), temporary bypass pump station (3,900
gpm) and temporary storage tanks (2.2 MG in twin bolted steel tanks
with 1,100 feet of24"HDPE pipe). Prepared PS&E for system and
assisted with support services during bidding and construction phases.
Design for Clearwell Replacement — Provided technical support for
design of twin 4-MG prestressed concrete tanks to replace existing
floating cover Clearwell.
As -Needed Civil Engineering Services, City of San Diego, CA. Program
Managerfor5-year, $5M as -needed contract. Work tasks have encompassed:
• Group Job 1020Pressure Reducing Station —PS&Efor buried PRSand
radio link SCADA.
• Nimitz8ridgePedestrian Improvements —ADAramps, lighting,
structural modifications on existing concrete bridge.
• Golf Course Dr. Bike Lane— Feasibility study of addition of bike and
pedestrian lanes along constrained roadway through golf course and
sensitive habitat area.
• Group lob 8355ewerManhole Design —Structural design for 25 feet
deep manhole.
• San Carlos Storm Drain Project— 6,500feet ofl8"-54"storm drains
to replace deteriorated facilities. Includes hydrology and hydraulic
analysis, design of30feet deep manhole, and extensive private
property owner coordination for restoration of landscape/hardscape
along easements.
• Rolling Hills Park Improvements—Sitegradinganddrainage
improvements; hardscaping for new playground facilities with close
community interaction.
Village Park Recycled Water Facilities, Olivenhain Municipal
Water District, CA. Project Manager for alternatives evaluation,
PDR, and PS&E for design of 35,500 feet of 4"-12" PVC and fusible PVC
pipe, an 1,200-gpm pump station (using prefabricated station), flow
metering facilities, and modifications for conversion of existing 1.0-MG
water tank to recycled water operation including addition of potable
makeup water system with flow control and air -gap. The pipelines are
located in busy thoroughfares, residential streets, and fronting schools
and businesses. Services included extensive utility agency and City of
Encinitas coordination and hydraulic analysis of operational interface
between Olivenhain Municipal Water District and San Elijo Joint Powers
Authority recycled water systems, support for Coastal Development
Permit from City of Encinitas, and bid and construction phase support.
Miramar Water Treatment Plant 58 MG Clearwell, City of San
Diego, CA. Task Manager for civil design of water storage facility
comprised of two 29-MG partially buried basins to replace existing
outdated structures. The project includes 2,200 feet of 54"- 84"welded
steel inlet and outlet pipes, inlet and outlet structures, flow meters in
buried vaults, 200feet of42"RCP overflow piping, basin drain system
with 16"piping, underdrain piping, and a barrier drain system to
address local groundwater. Also providing bid and construction phase
support services.
La Jolla View Reservoir and Pipeline, City of San Diego, CA.
Project Manager responsible for PDR and PS&E for 3.1-MG reservoir,
3,000 feet of 30"welded steel pipe, and demolition of two outdated
reservoirs. Reservoir is comprised of prestressed concrete tank that is
fully buried with limited surface features. Project includes extensive
habitat restoration and public outreach support due to the tank location
in a scenic, hilltop park in the coastal La Jolla area.
Rock Springs Sewer, Vallecitos Water District, CA. Project Manager
for the design of 2,700 feet of 12"-15"gravity sewer (with trenchless
construction section) through environmentally sensitive corridor.
Project included slip -lining to rehabilitate one segment of 8" pipe,
environmental compliance (IS/MND preparation), and coordination with
homeowners to select alignment that minimized impacts to HOA park.
Flagler Wells, Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District, CA.
Project Manager for design of pumps and associated appurtenances
to equip two groundwater wells for delivery of raw water to Ag Line
system. Project includes 800-gpm vertical turbine pumps, motor control
centers, discharge pipelines to connect wells to distribution system, and
pump -to -waste pipelines that outlet to the adjacent Temescal Canyon
Wash. Services include engineering support during construction.
Miramar Pump Station Rehabilitation/Replacement Study,
San Diego County Water Authority, CA. Project Manager for an
evaluation of various alternatives to either rehabilitate, upgrade, or
replace the aging 100-cfs pump station that delivers treated water from
the City of San Diego Miramar WTP into the SDCWA Aqueduct system.
Project includes hydraulic analyses, selection of new pumps, and
detailed project description of the preferred project alternative.
& 1 Mitigation Project —Value Engineering, City of La Mesa, CA.
Project Manager for the performance of a VE study of the construction
documents for 14.8 miles of 6- and 8-inch concrete lined sewer mains
and manholes that needed to be replaced. The pipelines are being
replaced using both conventional in -place trench replacement and
alternative methods such as microtunneling, directional drilling or pipe
bursting. The final report made several recommendations on options for
reducing costs and minimizing impacts to residents and private property.
ARDURRA [ B_16 ] City of Santa Ana Water Resources Division
RFP 22-002 1 May 24, 2022
