CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />RFP NO.; 22-133 <br />ON -CALL ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES FOR PFAS TREATMENT SYSTEMS <br />C. PROJECT ADDENDAS <br />The Consultant is responsible for assisting with any addenda required during the bidding <br />process. The City shall work in conjunction with the Consultant in bidding out the project, <br />providing clarification and evaluating the potential Construction Contractors. <br />4. CONSTRUCTION PHASE <br />Upon request, the Consultant shall provide general services to support the construction efforts <br />and serve as an extension of City staff to assist in the overall delivery of the project, including <br />pre -construction tasks, reviewing construction submittals and ensuring that the work is <br />completed in accordance with the contract documents, project closeout and commissioning <br />phase. <br />A. SUBMITTAL/SHOP DRAWING REVIEW <br />The Consultant shall be responsible for review of completeness and quantity of all required <br />shop drawings, product data, samples and other submittals. The Consultant shall transmit <br />the Submittals to City staffing for review and approval, and shall establish and implement <br />procedures for expediting the processing and approval of Submittals. <br />B. REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) RESPONSE <br />The Consultant shall assist with requests for information (RFIs) and shall update the City on <br />all RFIs issued in the duration of the project. The Consultant shall maintain, at the job site, <br />records of contract documents including drawings, addenda, change orders, and other <br />modifications of plans and specifications marked to show all changes made during <br />construction. The Consultant shall also maintain as -built records of underground utilities, <br />including locations and depths of trenches. At the completion of the project, the Consultant <br />shall deliver to the City all contract documents including as -built records. <br />C. CHANGE ORDERS <br />The Consultant shall conduct comprehensive evaluation of change order requests, provide <br />independent estimates, render recommendations and assist in claim resolution. The <br />Consultant shall regularly monitor and report on the status of the Project Construction <br />Budget on a monthly basis, indicating actual costs for completed activities and work in <br />progress, and indicating estimates for uncompleted work. Report should identify variances <br />between actual and budgeted or estimated costs, and shall advise the City whenever it <br />appears that the Actual Construction Cost has exceeded, or will exceed, the Project <br />Construction Budget for the entire Project or any Project Component. <br />D. PROJECT CLOSEOUT <br />The Consultant shall evaluate the completion of the work of the Construction Contractor and <br />City of Santa Ana RFP 22-133 <br />On -Call Engineering Design Services for PFAS Treatment Systems <br />Page 20 <br />
