S111 cannot guarantee a schedule for permitting review and approval but may use experience from similar projects to establish a suggested timeframe. Task X - Sample Deliverables • Coordinate permitting submittals with CSA departments, and applicable AHJ's (e.g. OCFA) • Revise landscape architectural plans based on plan check comments. • Coordinate any changes to hardscape, irrigation and planting based on Agency plan check review comments with consultant team. • Respond to plan check comments with written narrative and revised plans to clear corrections to obtain landscape plan approval for permit. Maintain matrix with department comments and responses per plan check submittal. • Meeting with City staff for update of permitting status. It is expected that a City project manager may be responsible for specific submittal paperwork and City pays all permit fees. Task XI - Environmental 5111 would provide environmental review for projects, California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and/ or National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) via a specialized Environmental Services sub -consultant. Items commonly addressed include but are not limited to biological resources, cultural resources, air quality, and GHGs. Cultural resources management should consider coordination with First Nation representatives. Task XI - Sample Deliverables • Technical studies and documentation reports conforming to regulatory guidelines including Project Description; summary of any prior Project and environmental documents; an analysis comparing impacts of the proposed Project to the impacts and mitigation measures identified in any previous documents; an environmental determination reaching the conclusion of appropriate environmental documentation/determination for the proposed Project; and a mitigation monitoring and reporting program specific to the Project, and a certification statement to be signed by the City, as required. Task XII - Storm Water Best Management Practices (BMPs) S111 and our sub -consultant civil engineers look beyond local jurisdictional requirements to integrate best practices and innovative approaches to stormwater management into the design process. S111 will contribute enhanced strategies and recommendations for above ground project/site- specific green infrastructure while our civil engineer would focus on below ground infrastructure. We advocate for sustainable landscape features referred to as nature -based solutions (NBS), when feasible, such as permeable pavement systems, rain gardens/ bioswales, street trees, green roofs or walls, and plant selections intended to collectively transform stormwater management, reduce urban heat-island effect, improve air and water quality, and elevate the overall quality of life in a public realm project. S111 and consultant incorporate the BMPs and NBS features into a project to the extent possible as the design develops from concept to documentation. A Geotechnical report including recommendations for grading, paving, and storm water infiltration, is an important consideration when establishing a stormwater strategy. It would be requested of the City or could be provided by a subconsultant geotechnical engineer. Task XII - Sample Deliverables • Evaluate the opportunities and constraints with a particular focus on the opportunities for integration of NBS as public realm components. -Create a BMP strategies toolkit for consideration in the form of precedentlexample images and a detailed description of their specific purpose(s) and any special requirements. -Develop scenarios in the form of sketches or visualizations to convey NBS strategies and locations that can be folded into the development of the plan. -The scenarios will serve to present visual ideas to inform a selected NBS concepts with specific recommendations for stormwater management, urban cooling, placemaking character and environmental quality. in
