Example Scope of Work Traffic Control Plans will be designed in accordance with California MUTCD and the City's guidelines. Prior to beginning work on these plans, Rick Engineering will meet with the City to discuss and determine construction staging, minimum lane requirements, and driveway access, and plan notes and legends. Deliverables: Project plans in Microstation V8 format and .pdf format (60% and 100%) 7. Specifications and Cost Estimates As with the project plans, RICK will prepare project specifications and cost estimate at the 65%, 95%, and 100% completion level. Upon receiving plan check comments from the City, we will review the comments and make necessary revisions to the PS&E package and submit a final set of construction documents to the City for bidding. The project specification will be prepared using the City's standard "boiler plate" specifications and we will prepare the Special Provisions portion of the Construction Specifications and Contract Documents suitable for bidding and awarding of the Contract. These special provisions will be incorporated into the City's standard construction document package. This work includes the preparation of the Bid schedule. RICK will perform comprehensive quantity take -offs for construction items. We maintain a comprehensive list of construction unit prices from a wide array of past projects. The unit prices used for this estimate of probable cost will be derived from recent projects of similar scope and/or provided information from the City. Deliverables: • Specifications in Word format w/ edits shown (60% and 100%) • Construction Cost Estimate in excel format (60% and 100%) 8. Water Quality Compliance Along with the project's PS&E package, RICK will prepare a Water WQMP to a 100% completion level prior to the 60% submittal. Upon receiving plan check comments from the City, we will review the comments and make necessary revisions to the WQMP and submit a final copy with the rest of the construction documents to the City for bidding. RICK is at the forefront when it comes to matters related to storm water. Our water resources staff includes many registered QSD/QSP's and, in fact, provide the industry with training on a regular basis through our in-house registered Trainers -of -Record. We will provide calculations and take -offs as well as prepare a Risk Assessment prior to bidding. It is assumed that the City will provide Rick Engineering with the desired construction start date and anticipated duration at the time the Risk Assessment is needed. If it is later determined that the City requires a review of the contractor's SWPPP, RICK has the experience and ability to perform the task. Deliverable: • WQMP (.pdf and hardcopy) 9. Right -of -Way Legal Description and Plat We will prepare right-of-way legal description and plat for the single property right of take required for the addition of the designated right -turn lane.
