SR-60/1-605 PA&ED <br />LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA 1 2017 <br />Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority <br />(Metro), in cooperation with the Gateway Cities Council <br />of Governments (GCCOG), San Gabriel Valley Council of <br />Governments (SGVCOG), the California Department of <br />Transportation (Caltrans District 7), and the County of Los <br />Angeles, is proposing to construct improvements along <br />Interstate 605 (1-605) and State Route 60 (SR-60) freeway <br />corridors. Calvada was selected as one of the subconsultants <br />to provide Professional Land Surveying Services including <br />topographic surveys and bridge profiles. <br />Calvada Surveying Inc. was contracted to perform <br />supplemental land surveying services within the 14 miles <br />along the 1-605, SR-60 and 1-10 freeways including a <br />topographic survey of the Beverly and 605 on/off ramps <br />in the City of Pico Rivera. The survey was used as the <br />base map for the reconstruction of the system interchange <br />and widening of the mainline facility will address existing <br />deficiencies and accommodate projected growth. <br />Warner Avenue Expansion <br />SANTA ANA, CA 12019—ONGOING <br />This project expands Warner Ave from Oak Street to <br />Grand Avenue by adding an additional lane of traffic and <br />medians. These improvements were designed utilizing <br />Complete Streets principals to provide safe, comfortable, and <br />convenient travel for all users — pedestrians, bicyclists, transit <br />riders, and motorists. This project will improve the flow of <br />traffic and greatly improve commuter safety. <br />A challenge acquiring single-family residential properties <br />along Warner Ave in a high dollar market. Appraisals of the <br />impacted single family residences were conducted in early <br />2019 with Notice of Eligibility for relocation being issued to <br />the property owners the same year. However, delays resulted <br />in a change to the value of the properties. <br />To address this, the comparable housing analysis was <br />revised, allowing owners to "catch-up" with market conditions <br />and purchase a replacement property. Monument provided <br />referrals in affordable areas, creating additional opportunities <br />for the owners to locate a replacement property within their <br />budget.
