WA <br />1-10 EXPRESS LANES DESIGN -BUILD <br />The project includes widening an 11-mile stretch of high -volume, <br />high-speed, multi -lane freeway for a new tolled Express Lane facility <br />maintaining the existing roadway profile — through a heavily populated <br />area with hundreds of commercial and retail properties bordering both <br />sides — while safely keeping five lanes in each direction open at all <br />times, except during critical weekend 55-hour lane closures. <br />To accommodate the added Express Lanes, the project widens <br />or replaces 20 bridge structures, including six overcrossing <br />replacements, two undercrossing replacements, seven undercrossing <br />widenings, and five bridge widenings over channels using precast <br />girders. The project adds approximately 80 retaining walls of various <br />types, including sub -horizontal ground anchor walls, soldier pile walls, <br />soil nail walls, standard walls and sound wall barriers. New pier walls, <br />overhead signage, and driven piles are also included. <br />Stage construction, maintaining traffic for community and schools, <br />constant communication with first responders for staging and nightly <br />closures. <br />SYRUSA is providing construction management in the disciplines <br />of quality management and structures management. Quality <br />management includes materials, roadwork, structures, NCR's, <br />RFI's, inspection audits, traffic management, quality verification <br />and evaluation.
