Dandashi, P.E. <br />Project Manager <br />Professional Summary <br />Mr. Omar Dandashi has over 25 years of experience designing, managing, <br />and estimating civil infrastructure projects, including city and county road <br />construction, highways, bridges, paving, drainage, large and small diameter <br />pipelines, and wet and dry utilities. He is the Senior Vice President of Blue <br />Mountain Development and currently functions as the Project Executive for <br />several of the firm's projects. <br />Drawing on an extensive background, Mr. Dandashi brings diverse and well - <br />structured qualifications to the development of over $750-million in large- <br />scale infrastructure, public facilities, and private development projects. His <br />background and experience focus on integrated project delivery, project <br />planning, finance, entitlement, environmental compliance, design, and <br />construction. <br />Mr. Dandashi has been responsible for multiple aspects of program <br />management, construction administration, government agency negotiation, <br />political and public relations, public utility relationship building, community <br />outreach and communications, project finance and budget management, as <br />well as extensive partnership -focused relations. He has served as an industry <br />speaker, guest lecturer, and advocate for industry -wide issues, promoting <br />common solutions to current challenges. <br />As a Project Manager, he is responsible for performing constructability <br />reviews; providing bidding assistance; supervising and managing the <br />construction project field office; supervising field personnel; full contract <br />administration; leading project meetings; responding to contractor <br />correspondence, RFIs, and submittals; CPM scheduling; shop drawing <br />reviews; preparing and reviewing cost estimates; negotiating settlements for <br />changes and claims; recommending extra work and claims settlements to <br />Owners; negotiating and recommending monthly progress payments; <br />preparing monthly progress reports; maintaining a daily diary of events; <br />reviewing and approving materials, equipment, and testing procedures; <br />coordinating with Owner operations personnel, PM staff, and stakeholders; <br />and project start-up, acceptance, and close-out. <br />Relevant Experience <br />Project Manager, South Main Street Corridor Improvements Project, City <br />of Santa Ana, Public Works Agency (Completion: 2022; Value: $12.8 <br />million) —The project will create a safer and more vibrant street for the <br />community by revitalizing a 2.5-mile stretch of Main Street from First Street to <br />Dyer Road. The improvements consist of monument signs, enhanced <br />lighting, decorative sidewalk extensions / bulb outs, landscaping, irrigation, <br />traffic signals, signing, striping, street pavement rehabilitation, and railroad <br />coordination that is taking place concurrently as part of a Water Resources <br />Division project. In addition, the improvements include replacing aging and <br />deficient water mains, sewer mains, fire hydrants, sewer maintenance holes, <br />water services, and sewer laterals within the project limits. <br />
