This project will <br />create a safer and more vibrant street for <br />the community by revitalizing a 2.5-mile <br />stretch of Main Street from First Street to <br />Dyer Road. <br />The improvements consist of monument <br />signs, enhanced lighting, decorative <br />sidewalk extensions / bulb outs, landscaping, irrigation, traffic signals, <br />signing, striping, street pavement rehabilitation, and railroad coordination <br />' which will take place concurrently as part of a Water Resources Division <br />project. In addition, the improvements will replace aging and deficient <br />water mains, sewer mains, fire hydrants, sewer maintenance holes, water <br />services, and sewer laterals within the project limits. <br />Butier provided constructability review, <br />resident engineering, and inspection <br />services. The project required close <br />coordination with the City of Santa Ana, <br />Santa Ana Unified School District, <br />Heritage Museum, and state and federal <br />The <br />_� <br />agencies. project consisted ofv—� <br />construction of the following:""` <br />- <br />• Four (4) groundwater injection wells in <br />below grade vaults (1,200 feet deep) and all related appurtenances <br />• SR-13 monitoring well at the Heritage Museum site <br />• 5,500 LF of purified recycled water injection supply pipeline that <br />connects to the District's existing GWRS pipeline and crosses the Santa <br />Ana River <br />• 4,200 LF of backflush discharge pipeline that discharges to the <br />Greenville -Banning Channel and Centennial Park Lake <br />• Two new buildings with shared City of Santa Ana and District uses <br />• Installation of submersible pumps within the four injection wells <br />■ Replacement of 9.6 acres of paving within the Park; and demolishing an <br />existing City of Santa Ana restroom facility. <br />12 D.
