Jurisdiction Santa Ana <br />Reporting Year 2021 (Jan. 1 - Dec. 31) <br />1 2 3 4 <br />Name of Program Objective Timeframe in H.E Status of Program Implementation <br />Housing Programs Progress Report <br />Describe progress of all programs including local efforts to remove governmental constraints to the maintenance, improvement, and development of housing as identified in the housing element. <br />Table D <br />Program Implementation Status pursuant to GC Section 65583 <br />ANNUAL ELEMENT PROGRESS REPORT <br />Housing Element Implementation <br />(CCR Title 25 §6202) <br />6. Healthy Neighborhood <br />Initiatives <br />Continue to implement Santa Ana Green <br />program, including tree planting, corridor <br />greenways, build green initiatives, and <br />energy conservation. Collaborate with <br />neighborhoods and community <br />organizations to promote Healthy <br />Neighborhood Initiatives and safe and <br />active environments. <br />Ongoing Santa Ana continues to implement a Community Forestry Program and the Climate <br />Action Plan.In 2019,the citywide recycling program was expanded to include food waste <br />recycling.The City rolled out a new centralized recycling program in 14 City facilities <br />which includes organics collection.Promotion of water and energy conservation <br />continues.Because of the implementation of energy retrofits in City facilities through <br />2019,the City has achieved Platinum Partnership Level for its Energy Efficiency <br />Partnership with Southern California Edison,which results in increased incentives for <br />new projects.Mariposa Park was completed with exercise and skate park elements, <br />interactive playground and native landscaping.Volunteers have planted over one <br />hundred trees at Centennial and Santiago Parks with plans for more tree planting at <br />other City parks to follow.The Parks and Recreation Agency continues to collaborate <br />with the Southern California Municipal Athletic Federation,California Park and <br />Recreation Society and the National Recreation and Parks Association.
