Title IX and Students <br />Based on federal and state law, no student shall be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or <br />be subjected to discrimination on the basis of actual or perceived sex, sexual orientation, and gender <br />(including gender identity, gender expression, marital status, parenting, pregnancy, childbirth, false pregnancy, <br />termination of pregnancy or related medical condition. Male and female students have the right to equal <br />learning opportunities in their schools and must be treated the same in all District educational activities and <br />programs, including: <br />• Athletics <br />• Physical education <br />• The classes they can take <br />• The way they are treated in the in educational programs and activities <br />• The kind of counseling they are given <br />• The extracurricular activities, programs, and clubs in which they can participate <br />• The honors, special awards, scholarships and graduation activities in which they can participate <br />Students who feel that their rights are being violated have the right to take action and should not be afraid of <br />trying to correct a situation by speaking to a school administrator, Title IX/Bullying Complaint <br />Manager, psychologist, counselor, or trusted adult at school, or filing a complaint (see Uniform Complaint <br />Procedures). Students are encouraged whenever possible to try to resolve their complaints directly at the <br />school site. Any student who'believes he or she is being discriminated against in violation of Title IX has <br />the right to file a complaint. Muller Street, Anaheim, CA 92801, (714) <br />502-5877. <br />Tobacco -Free Workplace <br />Board Policy 4025 <br />The Governing Board believes that the maintenance of a tobacco -free workplace is essential to ROP <br />operations. <br />The ROP will maintain a tobacco -free workplace. The use of tobacco products shall be prohibited in all <br />buildings, property, facilities, service areas, and satellite centers of the ROP. A tobacco -free workplace is <br />essential to maintain the safety and efficiency of ROP operations, and the health and safety of employees, <br />students, and the public. <br />Tuition Payment <br />Full payment does not guarantee that the course will be held. If the minimum number of students necessary to <br />hold the course is not met, the course will be canceled, and you will be issued a full refund. <br />Tuition for the program selected is due 2 weeks prior to the start of the class, but no later than the start of <br />the class session unless prior arrangements have been made with the Student Information Assistant. <br />Payment may be made with a credit card, debit card, money order made payable to North Orange County <br />ROP, or cash. Payments may be submitted electronically on our secure student portal or presented in person <br />to the Student Information Assistant during regular office hours. <br />Past -due payments may result in transcriptt.certificate holds and may also lead to financial <br />suspension (dismissal) from the program. Students who have been dismissed for financial reasons, or <br />dismissed due to academics with an overdue payment, will be required to pay past -due balances in full <br />as well as the first payment due for the upcoming course in order to re -enroll. <br />Veterans Entitled to Educational Assistance under Chapter 31 and Chapter 33 <br />North Orange County ROP permits any covered individual* to attend and participate in courses beginning on <br />23 <br />
