Charge No.14: Hamas and ISIS Are Two Sides of the Same Coin
The similarities between Hamas and ISIS (an outcast Islamist entity subject to a united
Fatwa by the Muslim world (consensus) confirms their distance from the teachings of
Islam. The following are I l examples that highlight the correlation and resemblance of
Hamas to ISIS:
- Both ISIS and Hamas recruit suicide bombers to kill the largest number of people, even
if they were children, women and innocent people,
2- Both ISIS and Hamas persecute religious and ethnic minorities, whether Muslims or,
non -Muslims, simply because they differ with them in thought or belief. Hamas persecutes
Jews, Christians and Druze, while ISIS persecutes Yazidis, Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds.
3- Both ISIS and Hamas execute people on suspicion and without a fair trial, violating
Allah Almighty's saying: And cto rtot kill the soul [i.e., per -soil] which Allah has
forbidden, except by right. [The Holy Quran, 17:331
4- Both ISIS and Hamas call for an Islamic caliphate and want to impose it by the sword
and coercion, ignoring the opinions of more than a billion and a half Muslims across the
globe.
5- Both ISIS and Hamas were born from larger terrorist organizations. Hamas was born
from the womb of the Muslim Brotherhood, and ISIS from Al-Qaccla.
6- Both ISIS and Hamas take excessive violence as a means to achieve their goals,
violating the orders of Allah Almighty: luvite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and
good instruction. [The Holy Quran, 16:125]
7- Both ISIS and Har1laS usurp land by force, a matter prohibited by Sharia Law. Harnas
usurped lands that were under the Palestinian Authority, and ISIS usurped lands frorn their
Legal owners in Syria and Iraq.
29
