Gw <br />Matrix of -Raffing ResponsibRities <br />4.1.3 EOC Position Descriptions <br />See Chapter 6 for a detailed description and checklist for each EOC position. <br />4.1.3.1 Management Section <br />In the EOC, the Management Section is responsible for overall emergency response policy and coordination <br />through the joint efforts of City Departments, partner agencies and external organizations. This includes <br />management and coordination of response and recovery efforts, overseeing the Operations, <br />Planning/Intelligence, Logistics and Finance/Administration Sections, coordinating with other government <br />agencies and the private sector, establishing priorities and resolving conflicts, providing authority to act, <br />and preparing and disseminating emergency public information. <br />The Management Section consists of the: <br />• Director of Emergency Services (DES)/EOC Director <br />• EOC Management Group <br />• Legal Advisor <br />• Legislative and Policy Liaison <br />• Public Information Officer <br />• EOC Safety Officer <br />• EOC Liaison/EOC Coordinator <br />4.1.3.2 Operations Section <br />The Operations Section is responsible for coordinating incident and mutual aid support for the tactical <br />operations of City departments and external agencies responding to the emergency.
