replacement locks for trash containers, restrooms, gates, valve/pump cover boxes, and <br /> controllers. The contractor shall be responsible for purchasing similar locks upon the loss <br /> of any City-owned locks initially provided to the Contractor. The City shall exchange, one- <br /> for-one, locks that have been vandalized or are inoperable. <br /> 3.4.3 Contractor may provide a chain and lock system, at Contractor's expense, for trash <br /> containers located throughout the site to secure and limit the removal or tipping of the <br /> containers. <br /> 3.4.4 The Contractor shall be responsible for the series of keys assigned to it and assign these <br /> keys to its personnel to maintain the facilities. The contractor shall be responsible for the <br /> proper use and safekeeping of all keys issued by the City to the Contractor. <br /> 3.4.5 Contractor shall report all lost or stolen keys to the City representative(s) within twenty- <br /> four (24) hours of discovering the loss. The contractor shall reimburse the City for the total <br /> cost of re-keying the facility or duplicating additional keys, as determined by the City. <br /> 3.4.6 Upon termination or cancellation of the Contract, Contractor shall immediately return all <br /> keys, cards, remote controls, etc., to the City. <br /> 3.4.7 California law stipulates that it is unlawful for a person to duplicate any keys without the <br /> owner's permission. The penalty for violation of this law is either six (6) months <br /> imprisonment or a fine of $500.00, or both. <br /> 3.5 Service Yard and Storage Areas) <br /> 3.5.1 The City, at its discretion, may provide storage and office facilities for Contractor's use. <br /> In such cases, the Contractor is prohibited from using said facilities to conduct any of its <br /> business outside the scope of the Contract. Further, said facility shall not be used for <br /> human habitation, other than a night watchman or patrol service as specifically approved <br /> by the City. <br /> 3.5.2 CR(s) shall identify and authorize Contractor to use a designated area, if available, <br /> exclusively or shared with City, for onsite storage as needed. If the designated area is <br /> shared with the City, Contractor shall identify equipment, materials, and supplies <br /> belonging to Contractor. If the City provides an area, the Contractor is responsible for <br /> securing and providing the CR access. The contractor shall safely store all supplies and <br /> compliance with all laws and regulations. <br /> 3.5.2.1 The contractor may not store any trash, litter, or recyclable material at the <br /> facility or in any vehicle for a period of over 24 hours. Notwithstanding the <br /> foregoing, the Contractor must conduct all operations at the facility in <br /> compliance with all applicable laws and regulations so as not to create a <br /> nuisance. <br /> 3.5.2.2 The contractor shall not "stockpile" hazardous materials in any quantities at <br /> the facility and shall not maintain any amount of such material at the facility <br /> greater than that which Contractor plans to use within the following 30 days. <br /> Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Contractor shall sometimes store all <br /> hazardous materials in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws <br /> and regulations. <br />
