controls will need to comply with the current WATCH manual. <br /> 3.7.3 When entering or leaving roadways carrying public traffic, Contractor's equipment, <br /> whether empty or loaded, shall in all cases, yield to public traffic. <br /> 3.7.4 Contractor shall make every effort to keep commercial driveways open during working <br /> hours. After working hours, all driveways shall be accessible with smooth and safe <br /> crossings through the construction area (State of California Traffic Manual or WATCH <br /> Book). Lighted signs or arrow boards are required as needed. <br /> 3.8 Bloodborne Pathogens and Biohazardous Material <br /> The contractor's staff shall be aware of potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens through hypodermic needles, <br /> blood and feces, and shall wear personal protective equipment. Contractor shall treat hypodermic needles, large <br /> quantities of feces, and any rags, paper towels, or other materials containing blood as biohazardous material. <br /> Only individuals trained in the removal and disposal of such material shall do so. Contractor shall immediately <br /> notify the appropriate authority upon the discovery of such occurrences. Contractor shall secure the affected site <br /> until such time that the appropriate authority can respond. See California statutes and guidelines for process. <br /> 3.9 Accident Reporting and Site Securing <br /> Contractor shall immediately notify the designated CR(s) of any accident, regardless of whether or not injury or <br /> damage is evident, involving park patrons, City staff and equipment, and Contractor's staff, vehicles, and/or <br /> equipment shall secure the site until rendered safe. Contractor shall provide all written reports and/or <br /> documentation requested by the City. <br /> 3.10 Vandalism <br /> The contractor shall report any damage to City property, including but not limited to vandalism,Acts of God, and <br /> third-party negligence to the CR. Via email, phone call, or message as determined by CR. <br /> 3.11 Cooperation / Collateral Work <br /> The City and other contractors will conduct on-going activities and operations during Contractor's work. These <br /> activities will include but are not limited to landscape refurbishment, irrigation system modification or repair, <br /> construction and storm-related operations. If such work affects Contractor's work, the City will ask Contractor to <br /> submit costs incurred by the Contractor as a result of the City's work. <br /> Contractor may be required to modify or curtail certain operations and shall promptly comply with any request by <br /> the CR(s)to cooperate. <br /> 3.12 Protection of Existing Facilities and Structures <br /> The contractor shall exercise due care in protecting from damage all existing facilities,structures and utilities, both <br /> above surface and underground, on the City's property. <br /> 3.12.1 Any damage to City property deemed to be caused by Contractor's negligence or failure <br />
