Oo. <br /> <br />In Re Paving South <br />Broadway <br /> <br />In Re Cement ~oxes <br />for Water Meters <br /> <br /> The City Clerk is on motion directed to notify the <br /> Pacific Electric Rwy. Co., and the S.P. Rwy. Co. of the <br /> intention of the property owners to pave East Second <br /> Street in the City of Santa Aha, and that the named <br /> companies will be expected to place their tracks in <br /> ~he middle of the street, particular attention being <br /> called to a petition signed by Paul Shoup,Vice-~resi- <br /> dent of the Pacific Electric Rwy. Oo. under date of <br /> October 1911, praying for permission to electricize <br /> that portion of the Southern Pacific Railroad line in <br /> said City described as follows: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point Z20 ft. ~ast of the East line of <br /> ~vergreen Ave., thence Westerly along the center line <br /> of Second Street to the ~ast line of Bush Street, and <br /> which request was granted. The property owners are <br /> fearful that if heavy engines are allowed to operate <br /> on the street after the pavement is in that the pave- <br /> ment will be damaged. The Board requests that the <br /> provisions of the request of Paul Shoup be carried out; <br /> and that the named ccenpanies take such action to assist <br /> in the paving of East Second Street~ as is necessary. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br />The petition of George W. Minter, et al, property owners <br />on South Broadway from the Southerly line of Third Street <br />to the ~orth line of Cubbon S~reet, owning the number of <br />feet fronting on said street, est opposite their respect- <br />ive names, petitioning the Board to take the necessary <br />steps to require the said Street to be paved,(the cost of <br />the intersections on the said street to be paid for by the <br />property owners,) under the specifications adopted and on <br />file for the pavement of ~ire2 Street in said City frc~ <br />the Easterly line of Main Street to the Westerly rail of <br />the Santa Fe tracks, excep~ that the asphaltic con~ete <br />wearing surface shall be 1~ inches thick instead of the <br />thicknesses set forth in said epeoif~ati~s which are <br />on file in the office of the tit7 Clerk of said City, <br />was on motion of (]~ubb, dttl7 seconded and carried referr- <br />ed to the City Engineer for verification of signatures <br />and frontage. <br /> <br />A communication from the Azt ~a~r~te W~rks in relation <br />to cement boxes for water meter~ wa~ on ~otion referred <br />to a c~ittee consisting of Trustees Alderman and Grubb <br />and Water Su~erint~dent Reid. <br /> <br /> <br />
