In Re Protest,paving W.2nd St. In Re ~onth~y reports In Re Bide for fire hose In Re Bids for drilling well Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf and ca, tied, referred to the Board as a committee of the whole ~nd report Monday May 14th. A petition signed by property owners owning property on West 2nd St. between Roes and Shelton sro. protest- ing a~ainst paving above portion of Street under Speci- fications ~2 at the present time, was read and on motioz of Trustee MoPhee that the Board rescind its former action in ordering said portion of Street improved and to reimburse the contractor for any money expended on same was duly seconded by Trustee Greenleaf and csmried. The monthly reports of the Building Inspector, Recorder Fire Chief, and Marshal were on motion of Trustee Tubbs duly seconded, by Greenleaf, and carried, referred to the Auditing Committee. Upon motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by McPhee and carried, the Clerk was instructed to proceed to open bids received for furnishing the City with 500 ft. of fire hoes, the following bide were opened. Goodrich Rubber Co. ~ in 'B.F.G." brand at ............. 75 cts. coupled. Ail bids accompanied by certified checks, excepting the hid of the B.F. ~oodrich Co. the biis were on'motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Maryatt and carried, referred to a committee to report Monday 14th at ?: ~O.p.m. President Visel appointing Trus- tees Tubbs, Greenleaf and MoPhee and Fire Ohief Jackson ~s such committee. Upon motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by ~rean- leaf and carried, the Clerk was instructed to ~Ooeed to open bids received for drilling a 12 inch well for the water department; the following bids were opened: Dimook & Otto,$500 for 500 ft. or $1.00 per ft. Thompson & Xutzner, ~? cts. per ft. 500 ft. J.H.Mefford, $1.50 per ft. of depth from surface. R.W.Elliott,$1~S5 per ft. of depth from surface for first ~00 ft. $1.50 per ft.of depth for each foot below 300 ft.
