Trustees McPhee and Greenleaf being appointed as such committe~ by Maryat t, of Commerce In the matter of hearing of the Highway Transportation Co. for a permit to carry freight and express between this City and Los Angeles was on motion of Trustee MoPhee, duly seconded referred to the President of the Board and Chamber and report at next meeting. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by MoPhee, the Clerk was instructed to dr aw a warrant on the Treasurer for ~186.05, same being for the first installment of County Taxes on City property outside of City Limits. # On motion of Trustee ~zee~a~ duly seconded by Maryatt, Chris McNeill was granted 15 days extension of time in order to complete his contract in building North ~ain St. bridge. On motion of Truetse Tubbe, duly seconded by Greenleaf, Trustee ~cPhee, was authorized to purchase a new adding machine for the Clerk's office by trading the present old machine with the Bus-roughs Adding Machine Co. M~. J.C. Metzgar, Secy. of Chamber of Commerce was before the Board in reference to having the Board co-operate with them in having a sanitary and fire-preventative Clean Up from the 21~t to 2~rd inclusive. On motion of Trustee Maryatt duly seconded by Tubba that the request ~e granted and that a Committee be appointed to meet with the Chamber of Commerce Trustees McPhee and Tubbs and Street ~upt. were appointed ae such committee. Trustee Greenleaf, one of the committee appointed in reference to the request of J.L.Parke, et al, to run a wire across the street on West 3rd ~t. in the 1100 block for a private telegraph line reported that on information obtained from the City Electrician, and on motion of Trustee Greenleaf duly seconded by Tubbe, the request was denied. # On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf, the Board ratifies the appointment ~f Frank Stewart as City ~otorcycle Officer. On mo~ion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded by Tubbe, the committee appointed in reference to Myrtle St. opening was continued.
