357 Santa Ana, Dec. 9th, Board met in regular adjourned session. Meeting called to order by President Visel. Present, Trustees Tubbs,McPhee,Greenl~ef, Maryatt, Visel City Hall, 1915, y;30 p.m. and the Clerk. In Re Request for Electric Si~n In Re Application, Highway Express Co. Durnham, Prop. of the Lacy Rooming House, to hang an electric sign in front of his place of business, 419½ N.Main ?t. was on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf,the request was granted, same to conform to the ~ity Ordinance and under the supervision of the City Electrician. In the matter of the application of the Highway Express Co. for a permit to operate a freight and express business between this City and Los Angeles was on motion of Trustee ~oPhee,duly seconded by Tubbs, Commerce and the President of referred to the Chamber of the Board for investigation On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenlesf, the Santa Aha Musical Association was granted permission ~o draw from the Band Fund ~100.00 for the community s~ng service entertainment to be held in Birch Park Christmas night. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf, the Park Commission was authorized to have 50 new benches made for Birch Park at ~6.O0 per bench, same to be paid out of the General Fund. On motion of Trustee McPhee,dul¥ seconded by Naryatt, the Clerk was instructed to furnish a copy to Street Su~t. O'Brien of the agreement between the City and E.N. Bachman for a by-pass used while building North Main St. bridge in order to replace conditions as agreed upon in said Agreement. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Maryatt ~treet Supt. O'Brien was instructed to repair the road running along the City limits West of North Flower St., work on same not to exceed two days and property owners alon~ same granted permission to remove stumps and trees. On motion of Trustee MoPhee,duly seconded by Tubbs and passed by the followirg vote, Ayes, Trustees,Tubbs,NcPhe, Greenleaf,Naryatt,and Visel, Noes, Trustees None, it is the sense of the Board not to furnish City water to new applicants outside of the City limits in the future.
