John Jacobs. ing resolution: Resolved that we do not con- sider it advleeble for the Board of Trustees to formulate or inact a law having in view the closing of various industries on ~unday, without the expressed wish of a majority of the voters of our city, Said expression to be arrived at by a legal vote. On motion of Trustee Tubhe duly seconded by Maryatt the resolution was accepted and ordered placed on file. The committee appointed in reference the Sunday closing reported not in fovor and did not deem it turee, theatres, out the ~oneent same be left to s~vieable to close moving pic pool and billiard halls with- of the entire people, and the' a vote. Upon motion of Trust, c Tubbe duly seconded by Maryatt and carried th. petition sm asked for by the different organi, zations and eocitiee was denied. On motion of Trustee Creenleaf duly seconded by MoPhee the demand of E. T. Fl aher~y for $141.96, amou~nt due for inspection and Engin- eering services North Main St. Bridge was al- lowed and the Clerk instructed to draw the necessary warrent on the Treasurer to cover amount of demand. On motion of Trustee Tubbe duly seconded by Greenleaf e~d carried by the following vote, to-wit: Ayes: Trustees Tubbe, Green]ear, Mary- att and Visel. Noes: Trustee McPhee, a per- mit is granted to Mr. Pinkerton who has the management of the John Jac6bs place on East Santa Clar~ Ave.,Juet outside the city limits to connect with the City Water Main under an emergency clause for six months, City reeervi~ g the right to discontinue the service at any time on thirty days notice in~riting. It is fumt~er understood that Mr. Pinkerton is to furnish a~ material and connections and pay for water at the usual rate, city to install the necessary water meter. On motion of Trustee Tubbe duly seconded by Naryatt the matter of having produce peddlers secure a permit before using the ~treets in ~ispoeing of their produce was referred go a committee. Trustees ~cPhee and Tubbe being appointed as such committee.
