Flsherty. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Water Connection East Santa <br /> <br />Permit For Produce Peddlers. <br /> <br />John Jacobs. <br /> <br />ing resolution: Resolved that we do not con- <br />sider it advleeble for the Board of Trustees <br />to formulate or inact a law having in view <br />the closing of various industries on ~unday, <br />without the expressed wish of a majority of <br />the voters of our city, Said expression to <br />be arrived at by a legal vote. On motion of <br />Trustee Tubhe duly seconded by Maryatt the <br />resolution was accepted and ordered placed on <br />file. The committee appointed in reference <br />the Sunday closing reported not in fovor and <br /> <br />did not deem it <br />turee, theatres, <br />out the ~oneent <br />same be left to <br /> <br />s~vieable to close moving pic <br />pool and billiard halls with- <br />of the entire people, and the' <br />a vote. Upon motion of Trust, <br /> <br />c <br /> <br /> Tubbe duly seconded by Maryatt and carried th. <br /> petition sm asked for by the different organi, <br /> zations and eocitiee was denied. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Creenleaf duly seconded <br />by MoPhee the demand of E. T. Fl aher~y for <br />$141.96, amou~nt due for inspection and Engin- <br />eering services North Main St. Bridge was al- <br />lowed and the Clerk instructed to draw the <br />necessary warrent on the Treasurer to cover <br />amount of demand. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Tubbe duly seconded by <br />Greenleaf e~d carried by the following vote, <br />to-wit: Ayes: Trustees Tubbe, Green]ear, Mary- <br />att and Visel. Noes: Trustee McPhee, a per- <br />mit is granted to Mr. Pinkerton who has the <br />management of the John Jac6bs place on East <br />Santa Clar~ Ave.,Juet outside the city limits <br />to connect with the City Water Main under an <br />emergency clause for six months, City reeervi~ g <br />the right to discontinue the service at any time <br />on thirty days notice in~riting. It is fumt~er <br />understood that Mr. Pinkerton is to furnish a~ <br />material and connections and pay for water at <br />the usual rate, city to install the necessary <br />water meter. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Tubbe duly seconded by <br />Naryatt the matter of having produce peddlers <br />secure a permit before using the ~treets in <br />~ispoeing of their produce was referred go a <br />committee. Trustees ~cPhee and Tubbe being <br />appointed as such committee. <br /> <br /> <br />
