49 <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />City Engineer's Report <br /> <br />East First St . pavement <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Establishment of First St. <br /> <br />gr ads <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Demands <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Semi-monthly pay roll <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Inspector,Grand <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Truck and trailer bodies <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Plans and specifications <br /> <br />for gathering garbage <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Ordlns~uce regulating <br /> <br />auto perking <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Franchise Ordinance <br /> <br /> The report of City Engineer Hoy on the estimated cost for re- <br /> paving East First St. from Main to the Santa Fe tracks was as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> Removal ol~ eu~face,$1574.26; repair base apparent breaks$100~,OO <br /> repair base, estimated unseen,S506.00; removal of old material <br /> $192.O0; 2 inch asphalt top $7064.17; 15 per cent contingency, <br /> $1553.31 10 per cent profit $1190.47; or a total cost of <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Tubbe, duly seconded by Gree~leaf the report <br /> was ordered filed for future reference. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Tuhbe, duly seconded ~y Greenleaf amd carried <br /> by the following vote, Ayes, Trustees Tubbs,Chapman, Dale, Oreenlea <br /> and Mitchell, Noes, Trustees None, City Attorney Scott and City <br /> Engineer Hoy were instructed to re-establish the grade on First St <br /> from City limits to City limits. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Tubbe, duly seconded by ~hapman, the Olerk <br /> was instructed to draw warrants on the Treasurer to cover the <br /> demands as audited, NO.1656 to 1~5 inclusive. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Oreenleaf,duly seconded by ~hapman and <br /> carried, in the future all men in the different departments oft he <br /> city, working as day laborers be paid semi-monthly. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Tuhbe, duly seconded by Chapman and carried, <br />Ave.pavement J.H.Cochren was appointed inspector for the paving of Grand Ave <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Tubbe, duly seconded by Chapman and carried, <br /> building of the bodies for the truck and trailer was left to the <br /> street committee. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Greenleaf,duly seconded hy Dale and carted, <br /> Sanitary Inspector Chandler was instructed to furnish plans and <br /> specifications for & truck and trailer for the gathering of garbag <br /> and trash. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance regulating the parking and standing of motor vehicles <br /> and other vehicles on the streets and repealing all Ordinances in <br /> conflict therewith, was given first reading and on motion of <br /> Trustee Chapman, duly seconded by Dale, same was referred back to <br /> the City Attorney. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance granting to the Atchison, Topeka and 8ants Fe Ry. Co. <br /> <br /> AT.~ S.F. a fr~hise to 0onetruct, operate and maintain a single railroad <br /> spur track across Brown St. was given final reading and on motion <br /> of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Chapman, that same be adopte, <br /> passed by th~ following vote to-wit: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees Tub~s,Chapman,Dale,~reenleaf, and Mitchell, <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br /> <br />
