49 In Re City Engineer's Report East First St . pavement In Re Establishment of First St. gr ads In Re Demands In Re Semi-monthly pay roll In Re Inspector,Grand In Re Truck and trailer bodies In Re Plans and specifications for gathering garbage In Re Ordlns~uce regulating auto perking In Re Franchise Ordinance The report of City Engineer Hoy on the estimated cost for re- paving East First St. from Main to the Santa Fe tracks was as follows: Removal ol~ eu~face,$1574.26; repair base apparent breaks$100~,OO repair base, estimated unseen,S506.00; removal of old material $192.O0; 2 inch asphalt top $7064.17; 15 per cent contingency, $1553.31 10 per cent profit $1190.47; or a total cost of On motion of Trustee Tubbe, duly seconded by Gree~leaf the report was ordered filed for future reference. On motion of Trustee Tuhbe, duly seconded ~y Greenleaf amd carried by the following vote, Ayes, Trustees Tubbs,Chapman, Dale, Oreenlea and Mitchell, Noes, Trustees None, City Attorney Scott and City Engineer Hoy were instructed to re-establish the grade on First St from City limits to City limits. On motion of Trustee Tubbe, duly seconded by ~hapman, the Olerk was instructed to draw warrants on the Treasurer to cover the demands as audited, NO.1656 to 1~5 inclusive. On motion of Trustee Oreenleaf,duly seconded by ~hapman and carried, in the future all men in the different departments oft he city, working as day laborers be paid semi-monthly. On motion of Trustee Tuhbe, duly seconded by Chapman and carried, Ave.pavement J.H.Cochren was appointed inspector for the paving of Grand Ave On motion of Trustee Tubbe, duly seconded by Chapman and carried, building of the bodies for the truck and trailer was left to the street committee. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf,duly seconded hy Dale and carted, Sanitary Inspector Chandler was instructed to furnish plans and specifications for & truck and trailer for the gathering of garbag and trash. An Ordinance regulating the parking and standing of motor vehicles and other vehicles on the streets and repealing all Ordinances in conflict therewith, was given first reading and on motion of Trustee Chapman, duly seconded by Dale, same was referred back to the City Attorney. An Ordinance granting to the Atchison, Topeka and 8ants Fe Ry. Co. AT.~ S.F. a fr~hise to 0onetruct, operate and maintain a single railroad spur track across Brown St. was given final reading and on motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Chapman, that same be adopte, passed by th~ following vote to-wit: Ayes, Trustees Tub~s,Chapman,Dale,~reenleaf, and Mitchell, Noes, Trustees None.
