across Santiago Creek; the construction of a wooden pile <br />trestle bridge across Santa Ana River; the construction <br />of concrete pipe storm drains together with all necessa- <br />ry appurtenances thereto, along each gutter line from the <br />Southeasterly abutment of the bridge to be constructed <br />across Santiago Creek to a line drawn parallel to ~nd <br />distant approximately forty (40) feet Southeasterly <br />from; the construction of vitrified clay pipe main <br />together with all necessary appurtenances thereto along <br />the Northerly extended center line of Broadway across <br />Santa Ana Boulevard, and between the Northeasterly curb <br />line and the Northeasterly line of Santa Ana Boulevard <br />from the extended center line to the extended Northerly <br />line of Roe Drive in said City; the installation of cast <br />iron pipe water main, fire hydrants, and all necessary <br />appurtenances thereto, from Flower Street to a point <br />approximately sixty (O0) feet Northwesterly from the <br />Northwesterly abutment of the bridge to be constructed <br />across the Santa Ana River; the construction or reinforce~ <br />concrete box culverts and all necessary appurtenances <br />thereto across Santa Ana Boulevard at La Veta Avenue, and <br />across Santa Ana Boulevard at a point approximately 350 <br />feet Southeasterly from the intersection of the center <br />lines of Santa Ana Boulevard with Chapman Avenue, and the <br />construction of concrete pipe culverts, and all necessa~' <br />appurtenances thereto, across Santa Ana Boulevard a <br />mately 715 feet Northwesterly from the intersection of <br />the center lines of Santa Ana Boulevard with La Veta Ave- <br />nue, and across Santa Ana Boulevard approximately 660 <br />feet Northwesterly from the Northerly abutment of the <br />bridge to be constructed across the Santa Ana River. <br /> That for the acquisition and improvement of Santiago <br />Creek with the necessary revetment work to protect the <br />improvements to be made upon and along that portion of <br />the proposed Santa Aha Boulevard where said Boulevard <br />crosses Santiago Creek, the said improvement ~ill consist <br />of the construction of wooden pile bank protections along <br />the Northerly edge of the channel of said'Santiago Creek, <br />from the Northerly abutment of the bridge to be construc- <br />ted on Santa Aha Boulevard across said Santiago Creek to <br />a point distant approximately 530 feet Easterly <br />and along the Southerly edge of the said channel from <br />Southerly abutment of said birdge to a point distant <br />approximately 175 feet Easterly therefrom. <br /> That the acquisition and improvement on Broadway shall <br />include the acquisition of a parcel of land situated in <br />the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of Califor <br />nia, and particularly described as follows, to-wit: <br /> Beginning at the intersection of the Easterly line of <br />Broadway with the Southwesterly line of the Southern <br />Pacific Railroad Company's'Right of Way; thence Northerly <br />along the Northerly extended Easterly line of said Broad- <br />way to a point which is distant 54.70 feet Southerly from <br />the intersection of the Northerly extended Easterly line <br />of said Broadway with the Northeasterly line of the said <br />Southern Pacific Railroad Company's Right of Way; thence <br />Easterly along a curve whose radius is 16.05 feet a dis- <br />tance of 41.27 feet to its point of tangency with the <br />Northeasterly line of the said Southern Pacific Railroad <br />Company's Right of Way; thence Northwesterly along the <br />Northeasterly line of the said Southern Pacific Railroad <br />Company's Right of Way to an intersection with the North- <br />erly extended Westerly line of said Broadway; thence <br />Southerly along the Northerly extended Westerly line of <br />said Broadway to an intersection with the Southwesterly <br />line of the said Southern Pacific Railroad Company's <br />Right of Way; thence Southeasterly along the said South- <br />westerly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company's <br />Right of Way to the p~int of beginning. <br />And the improvement between Santa Clara Avenue and the <br />Southern Pacific Railroad Company's tracks shall include <br />the installation of an ornamental lighting system, con- <br />sisting of cast iron double lighting standards, and all <br />necessary appurtenances thereto, including the connection <br />to the existing system in North Park Boulevard, also the <br />improvement of Broadway between a line drawn parallel to <br />and distant 80 feet Southerly from the Easterly extended <br />Southerly line of Charlotte Street, and ~he improvement <br />hereinbefore mentioned to be constructed in Santa Ana <br />Boulevard, including all street intersections, shall be <br />improved by the grading and paving with asphaltic concre~ <br />pavement on that portion lying Southerly from the S <br />Pacific Railroad Company's tracks, and the placing <br />of a Portland Cement Concrete Pavement on that portion <br />lying Northerly from the Southern Pacific Railroad Com- <br />pany's tracks, and construction of Portland Cement Con- <br />crete curbs along the curb lines of said street, and at <br />street intersections, around curves to intersect curb <br />lines of said intersecting streets, where curbs do not <br />now exist or replacements are to be made excepting that <br />portion already improved to the official grade, and such <br />portion of said street as is required by law to be kept <br />in order or repair by any person or company having rail- <br />road tracks thereon; and also that said portion of Broad- <br />way to be paved shall be improved by the construction of <br />Vitrified Clay Pipe Main Sewer and all necessary <br /> <br /> <br />
