Rutledge to construct and <br /> <br />operate an orange juice stand at 525 W. <br />Street, was denied. <br /> <br />Seventeenth <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Chaney and car- <br />ried, the Chair was authorized to appoint a committee to <br />investigate the application of Thomas Richards to con- <br />struct a combination warehouse and dwelling on Artesia <br /> <br />Street south of Pine Street. <br />and Kelly appointed as such <br /> <br /> Trustees Goode, Chaney <br />cormmittee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by Chancy and car- <br />ried, the application of W. H. Bradley for a city licens~ <br />tO conduct the business of manufacturing nut bowls at <br />1916 Spurgec~ Street, was referred to the City Manager <br />to report back in one week. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, the City Manager was instructed to negotiate for <br />the purchase of stop signals at the intersection of <br />Fourth and Sycamore Streets. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chaney, seconded by Kelly and <br />tied, the Clerk was instructed to direct the County <br />Auditor to cancel certain taxes appearing on the tax <br />records as a lien against property owned by the Veteran~ <br />Welfare Board. <br /> <br />A resolution was introduced approving assessment diagram <br />covering the improvement, in, on and along Garfield <br />Street, Sixth Street, Poinsettia Street, Second Street, <br />Fourth Street, Fifth Street, Brown Street, Stafford <br />Street, Vance Street and Wellington Avenue, in accord~ <br />ance with Resolution of Intention No. 2033. The resolu- <br />tion was ordered filed, read, designated Resolution No. <br />20V8, and passed, by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees W.J. Kelly, Homer C.
