Santa Aha City Hall. <br />December 29th, 1930. <br /> <br />297 <br /> <br />'/:30 P.M, <br /> <br />City Council met in regular adjourned session. <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Purinton. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees W.J. Kelly, B.O. Sutton, <br /> Stanley E. Goode, F.L. Purinton. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees J.L. McBride. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />State Railroad Commission. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and carried, <br />the communication of the Railroad Commission of the State of <br />California relative to location of wigwag and pavement on <br />the west side of the grade crossing of Fifth Street and the <br />Santa Aha line of the Pacific Electric Railway Company, was <br />referred to the Engineer to report back in one week. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Resignations <br /> <br />Police Officers. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Sutton and carried, <br />the resignations of L. H. Nicholson and F. M. Dean as Police <br />Officers of the City, effective January 1st, 1931, were <br />accepted. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Appointments <br /> <br />Bolice Officers. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by Goode and carried, <br /> <br />C. E. Neet and J. F. McWilliams were appointed Police Officer <br />of the City to fill the vacancies created by resignations of <br />L.H. Nicholson and F. M. Dean. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Free License <br /> <br />Crafts Greater Shows. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Sutton and carried, <br />the application of Veterans of Foreign Wars for a frae <br />license and free electrical inspection sponsoring Crafts <br />Greater Shows to be held during week of March 3Oth to April <br />5th inclusive at Third and Garfield, was granted. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />John Fernandes. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Sutton and carried, <br /> <br />the application of Jehu Fernandes for permit to conduct a <br />Pool Room at 2002 West Fifth Street, was referred to the <br /> <br />Chief of Police for investigation. ~ <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Electric Sign. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Sutton, seconded by Goode and carried, <br />the application of Gtlbert-Weston-Stearns Inc., for permis- <br />sion to hang an electric sign for S. Yoshimi at 404 West <br />Fourth Street was granted under ~_eupervision of the EL <br />Inspector. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />R. L. MCCue. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded Sutton and carried, <br /> <br />the ~roperty on Grant Street known as L0ts~ 12 and 13 Tract <br />532 was ordered posted for duplex and hearing date set for <br /> <br />January 5th in accordance with the application of R.
