Santa Ana City Hall. <br /> <br />June 29th, 1931. 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />373 <br /> <br />City Council met in regular adjourned session. <br />Meeting called to order by the Clerk. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees J.L. McBride, E.G. Warner, <br /> A.C. HasenJaeger, Paul B. Witmer. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees John Knox. <br /> <br />In the absence of Mayor Knox, on motion of <br />Trustee Warner, seconded by Witmer and carried, <br />Trustee McBride was appointed Mayor Pro Tem. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />Railroad Commission. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Secretary's Salary <br /> <br />Planning Commission. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Warrants. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Bond of <br /> <br />Thomas Haverty Co. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />John Drenning. <br /> <br />A co~mmunication from the Railroad Commission was read <br />requesting action taken on the application of the Atchi- <br />son, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway Company to install wigwags <br />at railroad crossing on E. Fourth Street. On motion of <br />Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, <br />action was deferred for one week on the application of <br />the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by HasenJaeger and <br />carried, the communications from the Planning Commission <br />relative to the salary of the secretary of the Planning <br />Commission and withdrawal of Mrs. Clara R. Cushman as <br />secretary, was taken under advisement for one week. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Witmer and car- <br />ried, the Clerk was instrncted to draw warrants according <br /> <br />to bills submitted by R. G. Dun & Company amount of $1.72 <br /> credit <br />and Business Men's Association amount of $8.37 for the/ <br /> <br />investigation of the Campbell Food Company making appli- <br />cation for change of zone in the City. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and <br />carried, the bond of the Thomas Haverty Company for <br />Plumbing .Work in amount of $2000.00, was referred to the <br />Clerk to investigate the Plumbing Ordinance with refer- <br />to personal and surety bc~ds. Following the report on <br />motion of T~ustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and car <br />tied, the bond of Thomas HavertY Company was referred to <br />the Chair for approval or disapproval. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Witm~r, seconded by Warner and car- <br />ried, the oommunication of John Drenning requesting that <br />he be given his old Job as street sweeper, was referred <br />to Trustee HasenJaeger. <br /> <br /> <br />
