Santa Aha City Hall. October 18th, 1934. V:30 P.M. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Mayor .Warner. Present: Trustees A.F. LeGaye, Fred C. Rowland, W.H. Penn, Plummet W. Stuns, E.G. Warner. Absent: T~ustees None. Minutes of meetings of October 1st and were approved as read. . Tn Re Electric Sign. In Re C cmmunic ati on Geo. H. Dickson. In Re Request of Rev.D.F.Myers, etal. In Re. Application Mrs. Myrtle Donner. In Re Automobile Insurance. In Re Appointment Gilbert F. Wagner. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Stuns and carried, the application of F~iend and Martin for permission to hang an electric sign for Carl R. Edgar at 302 N. Main Street, was granted under supervision of the Electric Inspector. On motion of Trustee Stuns, seconded by Rowland and carried, the communication signed by thirty-eight citizens and tax- payers extending their sincere thanks fo~ passing the new Ordinance many evils "Dine and Dance" believing that it will eliminate that have existed, was received amd filed. On motion of Trustee Stuns, seconded by Rowland and carried, the request of Rev. D. F. Myers and other pastors of chumche in Orange County, was granted permission to hold an inter- denominational union revival ~e erin6 in a tent to be located at the southeast corner Sycamore and Wilshire Streets. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and carried, the application of Mrs. Myrtle Donner for permission to con- duct a maternity home at 2A15 N. Main Street, was referred to the Planning Con~nission for investigation. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and carried, proceed to open b~ds cove~ing fire and theft, public liabili ty,'p~operty.damage amd full coverage collision and plate glass o~ o~*.lls fleet of automobiles, as follows: E. D. Holmes, Jr. $1640.7~ E. M. S,,-~quist 1635.82 McKay Insurance Agency 1879.58 On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and carried, the bid of E. M. Sundquist in the amount of $1638.82 was accepted as the lowest responsible bid, submitted. On motion of Trustee Rowland, seconded by Stuns and carried, Gilbert F. Wagner was appointed a special police officer without pay, on recommendation of the Chief of Police.
