Santa Aha City Hall. October 29th, 1934. 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular adjourned session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Warner. ~resent: Trustees A.F. Le~aye, Fred C. Rowland, W.H. Penn, Plummet W. Bruns, E.G. Warner. Absent: Trustees None. In Re On motion of Trustee Rowland, seconded by Brans and carried, Communication' the $ommunication of Nellie G. Woodward, Secreta2y of the Nellie G. Woodward. W.C,T.U. expressing their appreciation for the Council,s efforts in regulating dance halls, etc., was received and filed. . Xn Re On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by B~una and carried, Application the application o~ G. Jarret for a permit To erect a glass G. Jarrett. greenhouse 30tx 60' on the lot north of his present business located at 16o9 Louise Street, was referred to the Planning Cvmmission. On reconnnendation of the Planning Commission and on motion cf Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and car- tied, the application of G. Jarret was denied,for a permit to erect a glass greenhouse. In Re On motion of Trustoo Rowland, aeoondod by Bm-- and carried, Communication the co~m~nunication of Frank Lansdown suggesting an S.E.H.A. Frank Lansdown. project in connection with the collection, arrangement and cataloging material for exhibition purposes at the Bowerts Memorial Museum, was referred to the City Engineer. . In Re On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, Co-uu~unication the Chief of Police and Police Commissioner were instructed Fred P. Jayne, Mgr. PT&WW to submit a project to the S.E.R.A. to fttrniah special guards at hazardous crossings in the City of Santa Aha in accordance with the communication of Fred P. Jayne, Manager PT&~W Division of Orange County. In Re On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Pe~n and carried, Minstrel Show. the application of Mr. Mack of the Orafts Greater Shows, for permission to hold a minstrel show after the carnival performance, was referred to the Police Co~isaloner and Chief of Police with power to act. In Re On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Brutus: and carried, Air Fleet Maneuvers the invitation of Sheriff Logan Jackson to attend the air L.A. Aero Squadron. fleet maneuvers of the Los Angeles ~heriff's office Aero Squadron at Martin's Airport on Sunday, November 4th, 3:00 PiM., was accepted and the Mayor to act as a member of the reception committee and all officials urged to attend.
