Railway Co. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />S.E.R.A. <br /> <br />Recreational Project. <br /> <br /> its ~h~ta~as meeting December 20th, was referred to the <br /> Museum Board. <br /> <br /> A communication was received frem the Merchants' Division <br /> <br />of the Chamber of Commerce requesting permission to use the <br />lot at Third and Main Streets for a CHristmas tree in con- <br />nection with the children,s CHristmas party to be held, <br />Monday evening December 3rd. On motion of Trustee Penn, <br />seconded by Bruns and carried, the request of the Chamber <br />of Commerce was granted and referred to the Police Departmer~ <br />for the handling of traffic and closing of the following <br />streets from 5:30 to 8:00 P.M.: N. Main Street between <br />Fourth and Second and Third Street between Bush and Sycamor.~. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the application to hang an electric sign for the Santa Aha <br />Cafe .at Third and Main Streets, which protrudes beyond the <br />electric sign now in place, was granted under supervision <br />of the ~lectrical Inspector as petitioned by property owners <br />and renters in the vici~ of Third & Main Streets. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the request of Guy J. Gilbert for a street light at the cor- <br />ner of Edgewood Road and Poinsettia Street, was referred to <br />the City Engineer. <br /> <br />The application of the American Legion was read requesting <br /> <br />a permit be issued £hem free of charge for the purpose of <br />sponsoring Tom Mix's Circus and Wild West Show for two per- <br />formances November 23rd and also for permission to stage a <br />circus parade on the streets of the City on the morning of <br />said date. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn <br />and carried, the application of the American Legion was gran- <br />ted and referred to the Police Department for the routing of <br />the parade. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded b[ Bruna and carried, <br />the warrant in amount of $200.18 of the Pacific Electric <br />Railway Company covering amount due under Franchise Ordi- <br />nance #351 for year ending November 7th, 1934, was received <br />and Clerk instructed to deposit same. <br /> <br />On motion of.Trustee Penn, seconded by Stuns and carried, <br />the S.E.R.A. project fo~ a City-wide Recreational Program <br />after school hours with the Santa Aha School Administration <br />furnishing the grounds and materials for the project, was <br />approved and ordered submitted to the 8.E.R.A. officials. <br /> <br /> <br />
