On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the applications of Gilbert-Weston-Stearns Inc. to hang sign for Al's Lock & Key Shop at 305 N. Sycamore Street and of Cope Electric Company to hang sign for Joe's Grocery at 117 N. Broadway, were granted under supervision of the Electrical Inspector. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, the list of thirty-one men employed by the S.E.R.A. for school crossing guards, was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and carried, the matter with reference to the unpaid city license of R. Falcucci in amount of $8.00, was referred to the City Attorney. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Trustee Rowland and duly carried, it was moved that the Mayor be directed to recommend to the ~ablic Works Administration at Los Angeles, California, that of the bids received for the proposed City Hall in this City, which said bids were received and opened on November 19, 19S4, the firm of Ball & Honer of santa Aha, California, be awarded the contract as the lowest responsi- ble bidder, with the understanding that this recommendation is in no wise binding on the part of the City of Santa Aha, in so far as the said firm of Ball & Honer is concerned. On motion of Trustee B~uns, seconded by Rowland and carried, to return the Clerk was instructed/the checks and bonds of contractors submittin~ bids on the construction of the City Hall, except- ing the three lowest bidders. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Rowland and carried, the City Council adjourned. City
