Santa Ana City Hall. August 13th, 1934. 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular adjourned session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Warner. Present: Trustees A. ~. LeGaye, Fred C. Rowland, W. H. Penn, Plun~ner W. Bruns, ~. B. Warner. Absent: T~ust&es None. In Re Resolution S.A. Realty Board. In Re Request of ~E.A. Davison & Mrs.J.P.Hanson. In ~embership in Or. Co. ~Coast Assn. In Re Connuuntcation Netropolitan Water Dist. In Re Application L. Lucio. In Re Committee on Solicitations. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, the Resolution adopted by the Santa A~ Realty Board urg- ing the support of the $250,000.00 bond issue election to be held August 20th,. 1934, was received and the Clerk instructed to write a letter of appreciation and thanks to the Board. ,, On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and car- ried, the request of E. A. Davison and Mrs. J. P. Hanson to have permanent signs placed at the sides of their pro- perty, marked "No Parking" on Wednesday and Saturday nights after 9 P.M., was referred to the Police and Street Commissioner. On motion of Trustee RG~land, seconded by Penn and car- ried, the Clerk was authorized to draw a warrant in of $~5.00 for membership dues in th~ Orange County Coast Association for the year 1934. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the communication from The ~Ietropolitan Water District relative to paying out of the municipal funds all or any portion of the amount of the Water District tax which would otherwise be levied upon property within the City for the fiscal year 1934-1935, was received and filed. 0n motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, the application of L. Luc~o for permission to hold a span ish program in the Frances Willard School, August 14th, for charity purposes, was granted. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, the Chair was authorized to appoint a committee to invest1 gate all applications requesting permission to solicit funds in the City of Santa Ana. Trustees LeGaye and Bruns were appointed as the committee and Mr. Phil Brown of the Business Men~s Association to act in an advisory capacity.
