On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, permits for hanging the following electric signs were granted, under Supervision of the Electrical Inspector: Cope Electric Co. permission to move an electric sign from 121 E. 5th St. to new location at 310 E. 5th St. Gitbert-¥~eston-Stearns, Inc. permissi~u to install an electric sign fc~ Pst Kelly at 311 N. Nain St. Gilbert-Weston-Stearns, Inc. permission to install an electric sign for the Le Roy Gordon Beauty Salon at 427 N. Sycamore St. Allen-Trusty & Sons, p~ rmissicn to install an electric sign at 210 E. 1st St. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Rowland and cart · the rsports of the City 0ffi cers for the month of August, 1934, were referred to the Finance Committee. On mo~ion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Rowland and carried, the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants accordtng to the demands audited by the Finance Committee. On motion of Trustee B~uns, seconded by Rowland and carried, permission was granted the Junior College to use the Bowers Museum on the evening of September 21st. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Rowland and carried, delinquent assessment in amount of l..~l.25 on Santa Ana Valley Irrigation water stock in connection Bowers Museum, was ordered paid. On motion of Trustee Rowland, seconded by Penn and carrie( the application of Sam Sharkey for permission to erect a stand for the purpose of selling f~uit on property locate( at 104 N. Main Street, was denied. A Safety Proclamation presented by Mayor Warner was read and on motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and carried, was endorsed by the Council. On motion of Trustee Rowland, seconded by Bruns and carri~ and on recommendation of City Engineer and City Attorney, the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to execute agreement with Southern Pacific Company covering installation of a six inch sewer pipe under their tracks at Stafford Street
