In Re Reso. No. 2398 Approving Loan & Grant Agreement between City of Santa Aha and The United States of America. In Re Ordinance No. 999 Prohibiting Solicitation of Tort Claims or Choses. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Rowland and carried, the following Resolution No. 2398 was tmamimously adopted Approving a Loanand Grant Agree- ment between the City of Santa Ana, Orange County, California, and the United States of America, and Authorizing its Execution: "Be it Resolved by the Council of Santa Ana,Califor~ Section 1. That the Loan and Grant Agreement betweer the City of Santa Ana, Orange County, Ca~i2ornia~ and the United States of America under and subject to the terms of which the United States will by loan and grant net exceeding in the aggregate the sum of $105,100, aid -said City of Santa Ana, California, in financing the construction of a three story and basement City Hall, copy of which Loan and Grant Agreement is filed among the public records of the City of Santa Arm, Csliforni in the office of the City Clerk, and which Loan and Grant Agreement is hereby made a part hereof, be and the same is hereby in all respects approved. Section 2. That the Mayor of said City be and he is her'~by authorized and directed to execute such Loan and Grant Agreement in triplicate on behalf of the City of Santa Ana, and the Clerk of said City be and he is here by authorized and directed t o impress or affix the official seal of said City of Santa Ana to each of said three copies of said Loan and Grant Agreement and to attest such seal. Section 3. That said Clerk be and he ~ hereby authorized and directed to forthwith forward three copies of said Loan and Grsnt Agreement as executed on behalf of said City of Santa Ana to the Federal Emer- gency Administration of Public Works, Washington, D.C. Section 4. That the Mayor and Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and empowered on behalf of said City of Sarma Ana to request, and conseht to, modifications of or changes in said Loan and Grant Agreement with reference to the designation, date denominations, medi~ of payment, places of payment, and registration or conversion privileges of the bonds to be issued there- under in order to comply with the requirements of law and of the proceedings taken for the issuance of said bonds, and to execute in the same manner as said Loan and Grant Agreement any further instruments that may b~ found desirable in c~anection with such modifications or changes. Section 5. That said Clerk be and he is hereby authorized a~d directed to send forthwith to said Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works two certified copies of this Resolution and two certified copies of the proceedings of the City Council in connection with the ado ption of this Resolution, and such further documents or proofs.in connection with the approval and execution of said Loan and Grant Agreement as may be requested by said Federal Emergency of Publi~ Works. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foreg~g Resolution was duly and regularly passed by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, at a regular meeting thereof held o~ the 4th day of September, 1934.
