Santa Ana Ci,ty Hall. September Z4th, 1934. 7:30 City Council met in regular adjourned session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Warner. Present: Trustees A.F. LeGaye, Fred C. Rowland, Wm. H. Penn, Plummet W. Bruns, E.G. Wsrner. Absent: Trustees None. In Me Corn unica tlen Mrs. Rose Thurnaer. In Re Communication Harvey S. Nudd. In Re Request of Dr. Jas. Fsrrage. In Re Api~lication Boy Scouts of America. In Re Request of Salvation Army, etal. In Re Application Church of the [..iessiah. In Re Application B}ron Miller. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the communication of Mrs. Rose Thurnae~ with reference to unclaimed dogs at the dog pound, was received and filed. On motion of Trustee the communication of Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, Harvey S. Nudd, President of the Sou- thern California S~phony Association, regarding a campaign to raise $125,000.00 for continuation of the Symphony 0rches tra, was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, the request of Dr. Jas. Parrage for a credit on his water account for ~ater sccidently lost when a water heater burst and flooded his basement, was referred to Trustee LeGsye, v:ith power to act. On motion of 'l'r~zstee Rowland, seconded by Bruns and carried the application of the Boy Scouts of f~serica for permission to conduct their soliciting the week of October 14th to On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and the request of Alex Brownridge, Csmpaign Chairman, campaign for ~6000.00 dtr lng 20th, 1934, was granted. carried, for the Ruth Home, the local campaign to solicit the sum of .~8100.00 during of October 8th to 18th, 1934, was granted. ,, On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the application of Chas. G. Twist for the Church of the ~essiah and others, requesting that the zone at 610 Bush Street be chanaged from First Class Apartment Zone to Neighborhood Business Zone, was referred to the Planning Commis sion. . On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the application of Byron Miller for permission to drive a taxicsb for C. F. Eddleman was referred to the Taxicab Crippled Children's Society of Orange County and Salvation Army for permission to conduct the~ the period Commission.
