On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, the application of Frank F. Ey, Jr. for permission to con- struct drive-ins to service station at the northeast corner of Fifth and Shelton Streets, was granted according to sketch submitted.. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, the request of C. H. Eckles of the Santa Aha Bus Service to withdraw the North Ross Street bus route and s~art a new bus route in the east part of the City, was granted. . On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, and on recommendatic~ of the Planning Commission, the propez~ at 1621 W. First Street was o~de~ed posted for special uses in accordance with the application of A~land W. Palmer for a permit to conduct a produce stand at said location and the hearing date was set August 17th, 1936. # On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, a Resolution was introduced authorizing the Mayor and Clerk Of the City of Santa Ana to execute Memorandum of Agreement for expenditure of one-quarter cent gas tax on Streets of Major Importance, as submitted by the Division of State High- ways. The resolution was read, considered, designated Reso- lution No.. 2482 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Pl~m~r W. B~uns, Joseph P. Smith, W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. Trustees None. Noes, Absent, # Trustees None. The Chair granted She committee appointed more time to inves- tigate the opening of S. Flower Street. # On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, Trustee W. H. Penn was granted a two weeks leave of absence from the State. # On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, the City Council adjourned. O~ty Clerk.
