Lambert, <br /> <br />seconded by Br~nm and carried, <br />County Auditor, placing Santa <br /> <br /> Ana's valuation for the year 1936-37 at $24,017,940.00, was <br /> received and ~efe~ed to the City Auditor. <br /> <br /> . <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee B~uns, seconded by Penn and carried, the <br /> report of progress for the month of July, 19~6, of the Met- <br /> tropolitan Water District, was referred to ~he City Auditor <br /> to be condensed into a briefer report for the City Council. <br /> <br /> . <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the <br /> condensed report covering work in progress during the month <br /> of June, 1936, on the Metropolitan Water District, was <br /> received and filed. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, the <br /> application of representatives of the Apostolic Assembly of <br /> the Faith in Jesus Christ, Inc., for permission to hold reli- <br /> gious street meetings at Second and Daisy Streets, was refer- <br /> red to the Police Commissioner and Chief with power to act. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, the <br /> Street Department was instructed to repaint and letter the <br /> curbing and allowing parking space ~o taxicab companys in <br /> front of their headquarters as set forth in Section ?~ of <br /> Ordinance No. 962. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by B~u~ns and carried, <br /> the Chair was authorized to appoint a committee to investigat, <br /> taxicab parking conditions. The Taxicab Committee was appoin <br /> ted to investigate. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> Protests were read and heard on the rezonlng of W. First <br /> Street between Broadway and Patton Streets to Business Zone. <br /> On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> the matter of rezoning a portion of West First Street to <br /> Business Zone was referred back to the Planning Commission <br /> for recommendation. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br />There being no written or oral protests against the rezoning <br />of the Southwest corner of Eighth and Birch Streets to First <br />Class Apartment House District, ~n mo~ion of Trustee Bruns, <br />seconded by Smith and carried, the application of Atkinson an~ <br />Hawthorne to have s~id property rezoned, was referred back to <br />the Planning Commission for recommendation. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />There being no written or oral objections against the rezonin <br />of ~roperty at 1621 W. First Street to special uses to permit <br />Arland W. Palmer to conduct a produce stand, on motion of <br /> <br /> <br />
