Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, <br /> W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br />Each Trustee having received a cop~ of the Minutes, <br />further reading of the Minutes of October 4th and llth, <br />1957, was dispensed with and on motion of Trustee Layton <br />the Minutes of October llth, 1957, relative to adoption <br />of Resolution to acquire Property for Parks,was amended <br />~ l-ea~ By adding the follo~ng to the title of the Reso- <br />lutien:'the property referred to being the 7.62 acres <br />belonging to J. W. Sackman, being West and contiguous to <br />the City Bowl' and on motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded <br />by Smith and carried, the Minutes were approved. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />Hallowe'en Celebration. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Or. Co. Armistice <br /> <br />Day Celebration. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />Cal. Sewage Works Assn. <br /> <br />LuRe <br /> <br />Appointments <br /> <br />Pep. Elect. Inspectors. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the Chair was authorized to appoint a committee with power <br />to act relative to the invitation of the Merchants &Manu- <br />facturers Assn. to enter a float in the parade of the lath <br />AnnuaI Hallowe'en Celebration in Anaheim, 0ctober2Bth,l$5?. <br />Trustee Bruns, Purchasing Agent Banks and Mayor Rowland were <br />appointed as the committee. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br /> A. G. Cooke, Manager of <br />the request of/the Orange County Armistice Day Celebration <br /> <br />was granted for permission to parade through the City on <br />their"pep tour', Tuesday, October 26th, and the City to fur- <br />nish suitable escort if necessary. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smi~, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the com~unication of the Calif, Sewage Works Association <br />acknowledgln~ Santa Ana's invitation to hold their Tenth <br />Spring Conference in our City, was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the recommendation of the Chief of Police was approved <br />appointing W. B. Moreland and Walter Whiteman as Deputy Elec- <br />trical inspectors for the purpose of checking radio inter- <br />ference. <br /> <br /> <br />
