On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by B~uns and carried,. the following Ordinance entitled: · An Ordinance of the City of Santa Aha changing the Zone of certain property in said City" was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for second reading. On recommendation of the committee appointed and on motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, one twenty- minute parking zone was ordered established in front of A. P. Nelson's residence and office, 519 W. First Street. # On motion of Trustee Bruns,.seconded by Layton and carried, the communication of the Santa Aha Journal requesting removal of the restriction in the handbill Ordinance imposed on free distribution of ~anta Ana newspapers, was referred to the Council as a whole. # against 0ral protests/and arguments in favor of the passage of the Ordinance prohibiting free distribution of handbills, etc. were heard and on motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, the Ordinance was held over for special order of business for the next regular meeting November 1st, 1957. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was concurred with and the property described as Lots 18, l@ and 20, Tract No. 865 was ordered posted for single family residence zone, to conform with the deed restrictions covering said lots, and the hearing date set November 1st, 1957. . On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by B~uns and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission is to be..fol- lowed and the property described as that portion of the City of Santa Ana bounded on the West by the City Limits, on the North by Fifth Street, on the East by Townsend Street, on the North by First Street, on the East by Bristol Street, on the South by Monte Vista Avenue, on the West by Sullivan Street and on the South by Myrtle Street, excepting Lots. l, 2 and was ordered posted Family 5, Tract No. 259,/from Heavy Industrial Zone to Single Residence Zone, and the hearing date set November 1st, 1957. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, the recommendation of the PlanniD~ Commission was accepted and the application of Julian Heim for a permit to erect a duplex on Lot 17, Block E, Tract No. 159, was granted. #
