· ]43 # In Re A copy of Resolution No. 678 was presented offering terms for Reso. No. 2538 withdrawal of the City of Orange from Joint Outfa!l Sewer _~ J.0.. Sewer Agreements. Agreement. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, was read and a Resolution/recommending to the City of Orange/to the other parties to said Joint Outfall Sewer Agreements, that all parties immediately endeavor t° further cooperate on a pro- cedure and plan to continue the maintenance, repair and upkee] of the Joint 0utfall Sewer for the mutual benefit of all parties to such agreements and that a meeting be held to dis- cuss such proposition with the City of Orange, looki~ toward an abandonment of the offer to withdraw from such agreements. The resolution was considered, designated Resolution No.2§38 and passed by the following vote: ~-~ Ayes, Trustees W.H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Plummet W. i Bruns, Joseph P. S~ith, Fred C. Rowland. Telephone Co. amount of $8,221.53 in payment of franchise tax for year end- ing October 12, 1937, was accepted and Clerk authorized to deposit same. # In Re In view of the existing Ordinance No. 992, the application of Application--Blind the State of California Blind Made Products to solicit funds Made Products. through the sale of articles made by them, was on motion of ~ Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, necessarily denied. # In Re On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, Petition to the petition of merchants and residents to improve the street Improve Stree~ Lighting. lighting of South Mai~ Street, was referred to the Police. Commissioner, Chief of Police and Street Commissioner for study and report back. # In Re On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, Electric Signs. the applications of Electrical Contractors to hang electrical signs, were granted upon the approval of the Els~trical Inspector and under his supervision, as follows: Las Canarias Cafe 602 E. ~th St. ~ Palace Lunch 320 E. ~th St. .
