Accepting Deeds Widening N. Flower St. # On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, the monthly reports of the various city officers for the month of October, were referred to the Finance Committee. On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants according to the demands numbering from 10%9 to 1263 inclusive, as audited by the Finance CommitteeC On ~ecommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, action was deferred for two weeks on the application of James G. Smith to construct a four unit apartment building on the Northeast corner of Eighth and Sarnsey Streets. The recommendation of the Planning Commission was read rela- tive to the petition of property owners for change in zone from single family residence to business on the north side of Santa Aha Boulevard from Main Street to Chapman Avenue. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the petition for rezoning of north side of Santa Ana Boule- vard, was referred back to the Planning Commission for fur- ther consideration until the Zoning Ordinance is revised. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance of the City of Santa Ana, regulating the erection, construction, repair, enlargement, alteration, removal, demolition, sanitation and occupancy of all buildings and structures in said City, providing for permits and p~nalties thereunder and repealing Ordinance No. 1036" was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for second reading. On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, a Resolution accepting deeds to the City of Santa Ana of por- tions of right-of-way for widening North Flower Street on the West side between Eighth Street and Washington Avenue, was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 2537 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Plummet W. Bruno, Joseph P. Smith, Fred C. Rowland. Noes, Trustees None. Absent, Trustees None. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, the City Council adjourned to Monday, November 8th, 1937, at ?:30 P.M., in the APP~0VED: Namer of the City of ~anta' Ana. Council Chamber.
