Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, <br /> W.H. Rowland. <br /> <br />On motion of 'Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the invitation of the Santa Ana Elks Lodge to attend the <br />Traffic Safety meeting to be held at the Elks Club, Tuesday <br />evening November 9th, was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the communication of the Santa Ana Development Company expres <br />lng appreciation for the splendid improvements completed on <br />Broadway and the cooperation given to keep the street open <br />to traffic, was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the communication of Men's Bible Claes, First M.E. Sunday <br />School, expressing appreciation and commending Chief Howard <br />and Trustee Brtuns on their efforts to prohibit the establish- <br />m~nt of gambling and horse race betting places in the City, <br />was received and filed and the Clerk instructed to write a <br />letter thanking them for their words of commendation and the <br />interest taken in .this matter. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, the <br />communication of George C. Perkins with notice attached signe( <br />by. property owners between Riverside Drive and Santiago Creek <br />stating that the City will be held liable for any damage <br />heretofore or hereafter done to their property caused dir~ <br />or indimectly by changes made in the banks or channel of the <br />Creek, was referred to the present committee of Layton and <br />McBride, committee to be increased at the discretion of the <br />Chair, to make an intensive survey in a short period of time <br />looking towards giving these people temporary relief and to <br />make a Study of the situation for permanent relief. Trustee <br />Bruns was appointed as the extra member of the committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the petition of residents and property owners for a center <br />suspension light near lO11 W. Highland Street or in the <br />immediate neighborhood, was referred to Trustees Bruns, Layto~ <br />and Chief Howard for investigation. <br /> <br /> <br />
