On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the communication of the Orange County League of Municipali- ties relative to monthly meeting to be held in the Woman's Clubhouse in LaHabra, Thursday, April 22nd at 6:30 P.M., was received and members of the Council, city employees and mem- bers of the Planning Commission were urged to attend. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Stuns and carried, the communication of the Orange County Coast Association with reference to the ~onthly meeting to be held in Woman's Club House in Costa Mesa at 6:30 PoM., Tuesday, April ~0th, was received and members of Council urged to attend. On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Brun~ and carried, the com~unication of Robert L. Wilson, Supervisor NYA Project 5188-Y, requesting the use of Birch and Fisher Park facili- ties for public band concerts to be given by NYA Boy's Band Monday and Thursday nights during the months of April, May and June and probably the balance of the summer, was granted subject to the approval of the City Auditor if dates do no conflict with other application~ for use of the Parks. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, the communication of B. J. MacMullen guaranteeing that the grounds and equipment in the Municipal Bowl will be left in as good condition as before their use by the General Motors Corporation for their Parade of Progress, was received and . On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, the application of General Motors Corporation for use of the Municipal Bowl, May 1st, 2nd and 3rd to hold their Parade of Progress, was granted. On recommendation of the Forestry Board and on motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and ~arried, the application of the Southern Calif. 0rn~mental Bench and Garden Supply Company to place advertising benches in the city parkways, was denied. On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Stuns and carried, the Chair was authorized to appoint a committee from the Council to confer with a like committee fro~ the Planning Commission regarding a Planning Consultant and the rezoning of the City of Santa Ana. Trustees Penn and Smith were appointed as the committee. The recommendation of the Planning Commission was concurred with and on motion of Trustee Bruns~ seconded by Penn and
