<br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried,
<br />the following Ordinance entitled:
<br />
<br /> "An Ordinance of the City of Santa Ana prohbiting certain
<br /> attempts to influence police officers in the performance
<br /> of their duties"
<br />
<br />was read, considered, designated Ordinance No. 1044 and
<br />passed by the following vote:

<br />On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion
<br />of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the property
<br />known as Lot 50 Tract 579 Junior High School Tract located
<br />on S. Main Street between Russell & Wilshire, was ordered
<br />posted for special useand the hearing date set May 3rd, 1937,
<br />in accordance with the application of Homer F. Larkin to sell
<br />and display trailers on said property.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded .by Bruns and carried,
<br />the recommendation of the Planning Commission that the pro-
<br />perty bounded by Flower, Eighth and Garnsey Street be leased
<br />by the City and operated as a municipal parking lot for pa-
<br />trons of the Municipal Bowl, was taken under advisement.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried,
<br />the request of Mr. McDaniels, representing the Junior College
<br />for permission to place two banners,advertising the College
<br />Fiesta to be held May 14th, at Tenth and Main Streets and at
<br />Fourth and Broadway, was referred to the Police Commissioner.

<br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried,
<br />a Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br /> "A Resolution ordering the Street Superintendent to abate
<br />the public nuisance heretofore declared by the City Council
<br />of the City of Santa ~ua to exist in the City of Santa Ana,
<br />to-wit: Weeds which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature
<br />and attain such a large growth as to become a fire menace
<br />when dry and which are noxious and dangerous, growing upon
<br />certain streets, sidewalks and private property in the City
<br />of Santa Ana, by having the weeds referred to removed."
<br />
<br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 2521 and
<br />passed by the following vote:
