Council Chambers. <br /> <br />Santa Ana City Hall. <br /> <br />May 3rd, 1937. 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular session. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Rowland. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees Plummer W. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, <br />W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Trustees None. <br /> <br />Each Trustee ~avi~ received a copy of the Minutes, <br />further reading of the Minutes of April 19th, 1937, <br />was dispensed with and the Minutes approved on <br />motion of Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried. <br /> <br />InRe <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />Homer F. Larkin for a permit to display and sell <br /> house trailers on Lot 50, Tract 579 Junior High School Tract <br /> located on the west side of ~{ain Street between Russell and <br /> Wilshire Streets, was referred to the Planning Commission. <br /> Upon recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion <br /> of Trustee Layton, seconded by Smith and carried, the appli- <br /> cation of Homer F. Larkin to sell hQuse trailers on Lot 50 <br /> Junior High School Tract 579, was granted under special uses <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the application of Hrs. Roy Corry for permit to conduct a <br />camp ground for camp cars and/or trailers on Sullivan Street <br />near First Street, was referred to the Planning Commission. <br />Upon recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion <br />of Trustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried,the property <br />described as follo~:~'s: Commencing at a point 130 feet south <br />of the N. E. Corner of Section 15, TownsHip 5 S, Range l0 W, <br />S.B.B.~,I; thence West parallel to First Street 260 feet; then( <br />South 140 feet; thence East 260 feet; thence North 140 feet <br /> <br />to the point of beginning, excepting therefrom the area <br />p~osted <br />included within Sullivan Street, was ordered/~or epeSial use <br /> <br />and the hearing date set May 17th 1937. <br /> <br />(~n motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the application of the Richfield 0il Company for a permit to <br />construct a service station on the southwest corner of First <br />and Orange Avenue being Lots ll and 12, Block B,'Blee~s <br />Second Addition, was referred to the Planning Commissi'on. <br />The Planning Commission referred the application to a commit- <br />tee to investigate and report back at the next meeting. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />proceed to open bids for the furnishing of cast iron pipe <br />as follows'/ ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
