Howell. <br /> <br /> north-east corner °f Second and Sycamore Streets to protect <br /> the perishable produce from the afternoon sun, was referred <br /> to a committee of Trustees Bruns and Penn to report back to <br /> the Council. <br /> <br /> . <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br /> the application of Roy Russell for a permit to move a large <br /> house from the corner of Flower and Washington Avenue to Lot <br /> 13 Tract No. 354, was denied because the House Moving Ordinanc <br /> does not permit moving of houses of this size and the area <br /> of the lot is too'small for this particular house. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> the request of property owners for the placing of ornamental <br /> trees according to the established schedule of planting on <br /> Heliotrope Drive north from Nineteenth Street, was referred <br /> to the Forestry Board with instructions to take immediate <br /> action. <br /> <br /> . <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the protest of Mrs. E. E. Nichols and others against the <br />condition of lots and sidewalks after cutting of weeds and <br />hay in the area from Maple to Parton Streets and from Delhi <br />Road north, was referred to the Chief of Police with power <br />to act and with instructions to enforce the Ordinance. <br /> <br /> . <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the protest of property owners in the vicinity of the E.T.O. <br />Auto Laundry, lO18 W. Fifth Street,to abate the use of oil <br />burning at the auto laundry which creates a soot, was referre <br />to a committee to investigate and report back at the next <br />meeting. Trustees Layton and Penn were appointed as committ. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the application of G. A.
