M. Barnhill, William J. Hancock, <br /> Truman A. Clevenger and Clyde McWhorter to drive taxicabs <br /> and of Dale A. Tedrow for a transfer of permit to drive taxi- <br /> cab for the Blue Cab Company, were granted on recommendation <br /> of the Taxicab Commission. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> Petitions were presented with 204 signatures requesting that <br /> the City acquire the southern portions of B~oadway to opeB <br /> said street through to Delhi Road and that all unimproved <br /> parts be improved. On motion of Trustee Laytm, seconded by <br /> Penn and carried, the petitions were referred to the City <br /> Engir~er for a preliminary survey and estimate of cost for <br /> opening of South Broadway and to report back to the Council <br /> at the earliest possible moment. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> the monthly reports of the City ~fficers for the month of <br /> May, were referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br /> the City Clerk was instructed to draw warrant~ numbering from <br /> 2465 to 2696 inclusive, as audited by the Finance Committee. <br /> . <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br /> Richard M. Bradley was appointed a police officer of the City <br /> of Santa Aha as of June 1st, 1937. <br /> <br /> . <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Taxicab Commission and on motion of <br />Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, the applica- <br />tion of W. B. Smith and R. K. Gibson to operate the Blue Cab- <br />'Company at the southwest corner of Second and Main Streets, <br />was granted in accordance with the rates of fare and zones <br />set forth in their application. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the Chair was authorized to appoint a committee to investlgat, <br />the unused loading zones and cut driveways in the area bounds, <br />by First, Ross, Fifth and French Streets.
